There will be weekly warnings, like there are now to notify everyone
about orphaned packages. But this is here on the devel list. What kind
of warnings would you like to have for users?

Usually they should already are if a package is orphaned, because it
means it is probably not maintained properly anymore.

Why is this helpful? If a package is orphaned and someone wants to adopt
it, this should be done now and not at late as possible.

As far as I understand it is not possible to automate this. Thus it will
always be sort of batched. There is a weekly email which covers what
packages are currently orphaned. People should watch for those if they are
interested.

I hope to. I have some emails to send this weekend for next weeks purge,
but I need to work with Tyll on works best with his schedule.
