Re: [EuroPython] Morning runs
Kev, My wife is wondering if anyone is interested in a couple of early morning runs during Europython week? Say at 07:00, 5km over about 30 minutes, starting from the conference site? Tweet me if your interested (@snakecharmerb) or send a DM to my wife (starpoet) on Fitocracy. Also, does anyone know any good 5km routes near the conference hotel? The conference hotel is on the bank of the Arne river, which provides a fine route with views of the city. [EuroPython] Talks timetable and session chair amendment
Hi, I signed up for session chairing all day monday, but now I see that my "Web/mobile templating in Silva" talk has been shifted to monday after lunch. This is a welcome change since it gives us a chance to do an introduction with a workshop following. But it means I can't session chair the first afternoon slot. I took myself out of the table. Somebody else needs to cover Adrian Bout Hall for that slot. Two, we'd like to plan a BOF session, a "Silva templating workshop" during tuesday from 11:00 to 12:30. Could you add that to the timetable? Re: [EuroPython] Talk slide/paper uploading?
I remember the deadline for slides/papers to be uploaded was 3rd July, but it's not clear to me where to put them. I saw the page for uploading tutorial materials, and of course there are the information pages for each talk. Where do you want stuff putting? (or emailing, if that is more appropriate). You can upload a file in the 'Additional information' page for your talk. You'll need to first upload (don't forget to answer the secret question at the top). Then edit that page and link to the file. This is the markup I just used: [[attachment:MobiUserAgentLib.pdf]] Kit -- Kit BLAKE · Infrae · http://infrae.com/ + 31 10 243 7051 ___ EuroPython 2010 - Birmingham, 17-24 July 2010 - http://www.europython2010.eu EuroPython mailing list EuroPython@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/europython

See this (and his blog at the root): http://simonwillison.net/2007/talks/ If not OpenID, he may be apt for a Python or other talk, such as My Future of Web Apps: http://simonwillison.net/2007/Mar/12/slidecast/ I don't know him personally, but I'd volunteer to make contact if this suggestion gets a positive response.
