It must vary between states. In Minnesota, MNDOT (MN Department of
Transportation) categorizes all 3-wheel vehicles as motorcycles. So
motorcycle insurance rates apply, even for the Zap 3-wheel cars. I
know of 4 of them that were licensed and insured this way.
