[EVDL] motor controller

Lee, that looks like a Clark/Hyster contactor board fork lifts used in the 60s
and 70s .I have a Clark E500 fork lift service manual, It looks the same, The
Clark/hyster has field weaking,

does this one of yous have that ?. I worked for Clark when I got out of the
army in the late 60s , they seemed to think I knew about them LOLOL . thats
what I used when I was building my first EVs, bought every motor and contactor
board I could find. changed the contactor coils to 12 volt, most were 36,48
volt .you could do that back then, even change the tips when they wore out, I
always put the silver tips on the contactors, they lasted 4 times as long.

The Henneys were built in 1959. Only about 100 were made, but it was a
very influential EV. As a car, the Renault was a pile of sh... well, you
know. But its performance and use of silicon diodes was revolutionary,
and every engineer knew all about it.

My guess is that Clark/Hyster copied the Henney's controller, rather
than the other way around. The Henney's definitely had a hand-made
first-prototype look to it, and there were no Clark labels on it.

Yep! I liked those old contactors. *Anything* could be changed or fixed.
I rebuilt worn-out surplus ones for my first EV. I filed off the burned
contacts and silver-soldered dimes to them (of course, dimes were
actually made of silver back then)! :-)

Dear Friends on the EVDL,

I feel you represent the BEST in an active group of individuals with
positive interest in Electric Vehicles. I would ask you a small favor, It
is related to my promotion of my educational attempts to train many more
mechanics and enthusiasts in the technology of Electric Vehicles. I have
noticed that most of you are very literate, and my request is, *for those
who have the spare time*, to view the Presentation I have been working on
for several days and have now posted on youtube (link
http://youtu.be/*_*DetP2Q1BYc http://youtu.be/_DetP2Q1BYc ) I ask you
*only* to critique the slide presentation. And reply directly to me (
EVprofessor *AT* EVprofessor* DOT* com ) with you suggestions for
improvement. I know that several words are misspelled (Such as OR in
place of FOR.) I also have a tendency to make very long sentences. If
you feel strongly, about the text, I can send you the text, 575 words, for
your perusal. Which I composed and converted to slides for presentation. I
welcome any positive criticism. I realize that the topic of my
presentation is not EVs, but Technical training about the technology used
in EV and I beg your indulgence, for this intrusion.

With Thanks in advance and Regards,

Happy to help but the video is private. You can make it public but not
published so that we can see it but it won't show up to random youtube
browsers.
