RE: Upgrading Exchange Server Hard Disk
No MB, I don't have two spare slots. I want remove the current 3 disks (each 18gb) and replace with either 2/3 new 36gb hd. I have breifly stopped putting in the two 36hd, because, its important to have raid 5. So i have placed an order for another 36gb hd. Will update you later on --- Martin Blackstone [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Do you have 2 spare slots to put those drives in? If so do that. I have an Exchange 5.5, sp4 server on win 2k with sp4. In my Dell Power Edge 2400, i have two scsi disks (01) within this exchange server. Disk 1 has 3 18g hds with a logical drive of G. G contains Exchsrvr folder which hosts priv.edb and pub.edb. its like g:\exchsrvr\mdbdata\ and the two edb files. Now, G is near capacity and would like to upgrade it to bigger space. I have purchased two 36gb hd from Dell (based on Dell's advise), and ready to be backing up the G drive and the rest. RE: Upgrading Exchange Server Hard Disk
Hi Steve, This is due to disk limitations on this particular machine. Brian, I have realised that i needed a third hd (36gb) to implement the RAID 5 setup. And therefore, placed an order for that to Dell. Thanks heaps --- Dickenson, Steven [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: That was my wondering, also. Jees, why didn't you just add a couple more 18GB drives to your existing RAID5 (assuming) array? Outlook XP, error sending SMTP oddity
A clients laptop with a dialup account LAN account on T1 line. Mail is hosting in both cases by others (earthlink T1 provider). When they send/receive it will be fine, click again - times out with an SMTP error 0x800cc0b saying relaying prohibited by [EMAIL PROTECTED] This domain is only a site visited by the client, and is not setup in their outlook profile anywhere. No email stuck in outbox, but this error oddly shows up often. I have run spybot and system is clean. Mail does go out, but client says mail is not coming in. I need to verify that...but strange that someone's email address is showing in the send/rec error list when no mail was ever sent there. BTW, system is running NAV2003Pro and appears clean in that respect. My thought was a lone SMTP trojan in there - but spybot nor ad aware found any. Any thoughts?
