RE: LDAP Issues
Kishore This is probably blindingly obvious, but you are not actually using DC=mydomain,DC=com as your search string are you? This was only intended as an example. For example, my search base would be DC=cibasc,DC=com, as this is the domain name (in distinguished name format) of the AD domain that contains my user objects. RE: LDAP Issues
The authentication within the LDAP service will need to be updated with the new details. In the User Name section, enter user's name either in UPN or Distinguished Name format, e.g. [EMAIL PROTECTED] or CN=myuser,CN=Users,DC=mydomain,DC=com Choose a suitable search base, e.g. DC=mydomain,DC=com or CN=Users,DC=mydomain,DC=com Also make sure that you that the server host name points to an AD Domain Controller. Use the default LDAP port or, if the DC is configured as a Global Catalog server you could use port 3268. Tony -Original Message- From: Gagrani, Kishore [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Montag, 30. RE: Custom Recipient / Pagers
It's great that it worked for you Robert. The only limitation with this approach is if the mailbox associated with the SMTP address is hidden or deleted (tombstoned). In such cases the Alt K would not find a match. In this case an ldap query would be the better approach. A good utility to run ldap queries is LDP.EXE, a support tool that comes with Windows 2000 Server. It is necessary to bind in Admin mode when searching for hidden or deleted objects. The following article provides information on how to do this. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q196850; Tony -Original Message- From: McCready, Robert [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Dienstag, 17. RE: Custom Recipient / Pagers
You could run a directory export and then search the output file. Alternatively you could run an ldap search against the directory with a search filter like this: (|(rfc822Mailbox=smtpaddr)(otherMailbox=smtpaddr)) Tony -Original Message- From: McCready, Robert [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Dienstag, 17. RE: E2k Change SMTP Port
You can change it in the Default SMTP Virtual Server Properties using the Advanced option. See How to Configure a SMTP Virtual Server Part 1 [Q266686] for full instructions.
