This user will send out attachments to recipients outside our organization and 2 of the recipients either get no attachment or they are unable to open the attachment they receive. If his assistant sends the attachment all recipients receive the files with no problems. We found at one point that attachments arriving unopenable were getting to the user with the extension removed from the file which was part of the reason they couldn't open them. (example, sent FILE.DOC, recipient gets FILE and can't open). He has also had some success sending the same attachment to another person in the same organization without problems but that is inconsistent. We have verified that his mailbox seems to be normal and has the same configuration as other users. We made sure he had SP1 installed for Outlook and the latest version of IE (5.5 sp2). Our environment is: Exchange 5.5 sp3 Windows NT sp6a Outlook 2000 sp1 client I would appreciate any suggestions on this. Especially as the sender is our PR director and the recipients are CEO's and the Chairman of our Board. Thanks... This user will send out attachments to recipients outside our organization and 2 of the recipients either get no attachment or they are unable to open the attachment they receive. If his assistant sends the attachment all recipients receive the files with no problems. We found at one point that attachments arriving unopenable were getting to the user with the extension removed from the file which was part of the reason they couldn't open them. (example, sent FILE.DOC, recipient gets FILE and can't open). He has also had some success sending the same attachment to another person in the same organization without problems but that is inconsistent. We have verified that his mailbox seems to be normal and has the same configuration as other users. We made sure he had SP1 installed for Outlook and the latest version of IE (5.5 sp2). Our environment is: Exchange 5.5 sp3 Windows NT sp6a Outlook 2000 sp1 client I would appreciate any suggestions on this. Especially as the sender is our PR director and the recipients are CEO's and the Chairman of our Board. Thanks...
