Maybe 'setup.exe /disasterrecovery' -Original Message- From: Adam Berns [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, August 18, 2003 2:43 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: No servers in Exchange System Manager So, I have been tinkering with e2k, and I deleted the server from the list of servers. What I can't figure out is how to re-add them. I did a re-install, and got a bunch of errors, and I can not service pack it, I get the following error: You can use this ediction of Microsoft Exchange 2000 Service Pack Update to update existing cersions of Exchange 2000. The problem is, that there are no serivces installed. I did run forestprep and then domainprep before installing. RE: No servers in Exchange System Manager
Tried that, no luck. The only two services showing up are Exchange management and Chat. I can't even uninstall exchange anymore. It would be nice to figure this one out, rather than have to re-image the machine. RE: No servers in Exchange System Manager
Okay, problem solved, but not fun: Here is the abbreviated version since I don't remember all the full CNs of everything 1. Removed exchange services from A/D sites and services 2. With ADSI Edit Removed the exchange configuration 3. Removed the exchsrv directory, and the install log files 4. Cleaned out the registry. 5. Re-ran forestprep and domainprep 6. Re-installed 7. Re-Service packed it 8. Reset configuration 9. Restored from backup.
