RE: Ximian Exchange 2000
I'd much rather use a mail client than OWA as my regular method of access. -Original Message- From: Jerzy Setmajer [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, May 03, 2002 10:10 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Re: Ximian Exchange 2000 Why not use OWA? I've got a shop with numerous Linux users, but we also use exchange. I'm tired of the IMAP mess and want to enable them to participate in the calendaring, etc. that exchange provides. My question is, has anyone tried the GNOME (Ximian) Evolution software with exchange 2000 connector? If so, what are some of the bugs/pitfalls that you've experienced? I don't want to waste a lot of time if it's not ready for prime time yet. Flamed? I hope you continue to report on how it's going. Lotsa interest in non-Windows clients. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of tom Sent: Friday, May 03, 2002 12:08 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Ximian Exchange 2000 Hoping I don't get flamed for this, but here goes. IIS, I don't want to have to patch every day and a half. On Fri, 2002-05-03 at 11:10, Jerzy Setmajer wrote: Why not use OWA? RE: Ximian Exchange 2000
I'm using Evolution fine in IMAP mode with my EX 5.5 (SP4) server. Doesn't help with EX2k, I know, but.. What I can't get to work is checking my LDAP on my 5.5 server as I do with my Outlook Express clients that are using that solution (in authorised only mode. No anonymous access to the LDAP server.) ~R~ -- Roger Haxton [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried. -Original Message- From: tom [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, May 03, 2002 14:08 To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Ximian Exchange 2000 Hoping I don't get flamed for this, but here goes.
