Meditation calms the mind, lengthens life: study
 Reuters
 May. 2, 2005 - By Charnicia E. Huggins

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Increasing evidence suggests that
transcendental meditation may not only reduce stress, but also may
help adults with high blood pressure to live longer, according to a
new study.

There are many non-drug techniques for reducing blood pressure,
but none...extend life, study author Dr. Robert H. Schneider, of the
Maharishi University of Management in Iowa, told Reuters Health.

He added that the current study shows that you can live longer
with a mind-body intervention.

Transcendental meditation is a technique for calming the body and
mind, to allow individuals to enter a state of restful alertness,
in which the body is awake but the mind is not engaged in conscious
thought. It is a method of waking up the body's own self-repair
mechanisms, Schneider said.

The new report, published in this month's American Journal of
Cardiology, is based on a review of data from two studies that showed
that transcendental meditation helped decrease blood pressure among
white and African-American adults, respectively. Schneider and his
team evaluated the association between the meditation technique and
risk of death among the study participants.

The two studies included 202 men and women, about 72 years old on
average, who had pre-hypertension or mild hypertension. They were
assigned to a transcendental meditation group, or to various
comparison groups of other relaxation techniques.

Participants in the two studies were followed for about eight years
on average -- a maximum of nearly 19 years -- during which 101
individuals died.

Overall, men and women who practiced transcendental meditation not
only had lower blood pressures than those in the other groups, but
were also 23 percent less likely to die from any cause, Schneider and
his team report. In particular, they were 30 percent less likely to
die from cardiovascular disease and 49 percent less likely to die
from cancer.

The integrated holistic transcendental meditation technique does
not have any harmful side effects, Schneider said.

Schneider is the director of the Institute for Natural Medicine and
Prevention, funded by the National Institutes of Health's National
Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

Dr. Arthur Hartz, a professor in the family medicine department at
the University of Iowa College of Medicine and a co-author of the
study, said avoiding unnecessary medicine was always a good idea.

But he added: T.M. classes are expensive, and all behavioral
interventions require considerable effort to learn, and time and
discipline to maintain. My guess is that they represent the best
therapy for only a small percentage of patients with hypertension.

It's because of things like this that groups have taken things into
there own hands. One of the first things the Chinese did first was
build roads. Then they destroyed the monasteries. These were also the
colleges, the schools and the medical centers. Then they put up
schools--all spoken in Chinese, near the roads. And the sterilization
trucks, targeting women even in their third trimester helped them in
their plans. Then the population transfers.

So what groups have been doing is sponsoring Tibetan schools off the
main track and the like. Seed communities have been set up in this
country and all the major schools have monasteries now in India.

It's still not a good situation. Now the Maoists are threatening
remaining elements in Nepal.

It's like a disease. You don't know where it will strike next.

Cool. My moment of synchronicity came not ten seconds after
posting my rap here. I pushed 'Send' and on the radio came
Mark Knopfler singing:

I'm going to San Bernardino ring-a-ding-ding
Milkshake mixers...that's my thing
These guys bought a heap of my stuff
And I gotta see a good thing sure enough

Folks line up all down the street
I'm seeing this girl devour her meat
And then I get it -- wham -- as clear as day
My pulse begins to hammer then I hear a voice say:

These boys have got this down
Ought to be one of these in every town
These boys have got the touch
It's clean as a whistle
And it don't cost much
Wham bam don't wait long
Shake, fries, patty, you're gone
How's about that friendly name,
Heck, every little thing
Gotta stay the same

Or my name is not Kroc, that's Kroc with a K
Like crocodile but not spelled that way
It's dog eat dog, rat eat rat
Kroc style -- boom like that

You gentlemen ought to expand
You're gonna need a helping hand
So gentlemen, well what about me?
We'll make a little business history

Oh my name is Kroc, but call me Ray
Like crocodile but not spelled that way
It's dog eat dog, rat eat rat
Kroc style -- boom like that

Well we build it up and I buy 'em out
But man, they made me grind it out
They open up a new place flippin' meat
So I do too, right across the street

I got the name, I need the town,
They sell up in the end
And it all shuts down
Sometimes you gotta be an S.O.B.
If you wanna make a dream reality
Competition? Sent 'em south,
If they're gonna drown
Put a hose in their mouth
Do not pass Go, go straight to hell
I smell that meat hook smell

Or my name is not Kroc, that's Kroc with a K
Like crocodile but not spelled that way
It's dog eat dog, rat eat rat
Kroc style -- boom like that
Ohh it's dog eat dog and rat eat rat

By supporting and promoting organizations that pressure the Chinese

I've always thought this was a great idea. Fast-food health food. Instead of Ronald McDonald visiting it would be a Raja with his crown and limo. He could hand out Ayurvedic candy. Instead of the golden arches, it could be a rainbow or something. You could also use Doug Hennings old Vedic amusement park ideas for the kiddy playground. [FairfieldLife] Siddhis and the Chakras

2005-05-03 Thread anonymousff
[ fw ]

Cosmic Reality is One. The Wise Perceive It In Many Ways.
Siddhis and the Chakras

Transcript in part of chakra workshop:
Chakras are sometimes called Wheels of the Mind. They are psychic
centers that can not really be described fully from a psychological or
material view in the same way a cake can not be considered to be just
flour, vanilla, sugar, eggs and chocolate. There is a force that has
been applied to the ingredients that makes it a cake. Chakras are
energy centers that are interelated with the autonomous,
parasympathetic and and sympathetic nervous systems.

Each individual perceives and understands life through the
perspective of the chakra in which he feels the most comfortable
relating from. This is called the Point of Awareness. In a sense
the chakra of the primary point of awareness colours the experience.
It is like a filter on a camera, contributing to Maya which in the
ancient sense of the word was not illusion but rather a faulty or
filtered perception of reality as presented by the senses. Knowledge
is lacking for acurate perception or interpretation. When the point
of awareness-the presiding state of consciousness-and kundalini merge
in the upper chakras, enlightenment experiences occur. Sometimes they
are permanent, sometimes not. If the force of this merging is intense
enough it will lead to a genetic restructuring of the brain and
ultimately enlightenment such as that which occurs with deep and
profound insight. The Point of Awareness of most humans is in the
lower 3 chakras-the majority of us dwell in Manipura or
the third chakra.. However there are yoga and meditation techiniques
that can slowly and safely raise the Point of Awareness if practiced
daily.
Chakras respond to certain sounds and smells in the same manner that
you respond to your name. Each chakra has sound that can be chanted
while focusing upon it image that will help to move the Point of
Awareness. For example, the sound that the brow chakra responds to
is Aum. This practice of elevating the Point of Awareness is best
done as if one is climbing a ladder. For example if the Point of
Awareness is in the second chakra, one would focus on the third
chakra and raise the awareness to that level for some time before
proceeding to the forth chakra. Once the awareness has stabilized in
that chakra (and it will in general take at least 45 days) it is time
to work on and discover the next chakra. In helping to determine
one's own Point of Awareness if you cannot see or
sense your dominate chakra, you can consider your temperament,
desires and obstacles, and you can consider your sleeping patterns
and position in which you sleep.

Siddhi Powers are sometimes gained by focusing on various chakras
causing an activation of that specific energy center. Siddhi powers
are sometimes experienced as a result. . In an ancient tradition of
Enlightenment such as that which has been preserved by the
enlightened monks (the siddha purushas), of Satyaloka Monastery,
siddhi powers as well as enlightenment were often passed down from
master to seeker through diksha (spiritual initiation). The diksha
can be likened to a seed. It may take effect at once or could stay
latent for years. Perhaps it will never take root.
There are many variables. Diksha is part of an triad employed in
ancient shamanistic cultures to help thrust the seeker into a
permanent state of enlightenment. This triad is diksha, sadhana
(spiritual practice such as yoga meditation), and maha sutras.
Siddhartha recieved many such dikshas from his teachers in his
struggle for enlightenment. Following is a listing of siddhis that
may occur in the Journey to Enlightenment or in working with the
various chakras

Following is a list of 23 siddhi powers:

Considered to be the Warrior Siddhi Powers:

Trikalajriatvam - knowledge of the past, present and future.
Advandvam: to be beyond pleasure-pain, cold-heat, soft-hard. Non-
duality.
Parachittadyabhijnata: knowledge of dreams and the mind.
Pratishtambah: control of effect of fire, wind, water, poisons,
weapons, and the sun.
Aparajayah: Victorious. Not able to be defeated.

The next are considered only to occur as the heart begins to purify
and flower:

Anumimattvam: hunger, thirst, grief, sorrow, infatuation, delusion and
confusion of the mind, old age and death do not harm the body.
Doorshravan: to hear, sitting at one place, speech from however
distant a place.
Dudarshan: to see simultaneously events and things in all the realms.
Manojava: the body can travel at the speed of thought to any place.
Kaamaroopa: to assume any form. Shapeshifting.
Parakayapravesh: ability to enter into another's body, whether they
are dead or alive.
Swachchandamrutyu: to die at one's own will, death having no control
over one.
Sahakridanudarshanam: to see the sports of gods in heaven and have
capacity and prowess to participate in it.
Yathaasamkalpa samsiddhi: to attain whatever is

(to war-ie., get them out of the

It ain't China My Friend, the
whole world has an outcast class. If you can't see it anywhere you turn your

Be cool to a minority. Be good to women. Be good to rejects, nerds, hippies,
niggers, jews, and serve a wasp in the way they have served you, cold. Stop
being a fucking pussy to all the warped and selfish people and call their
bluff. If someone slaps your cheek, turn the other, and thensee
where they got slap happy from and then find the source and kick that
motherfuckers ass. Justice served. Yeah alright, that was out of control.
Best to just acknowledge the problem and put an end to it in oneself through
wisdom. Peace starts at home.

The problem which leads to war is
everyone in the world not acknowledging that everyone in the world is only half
right and half wrong. If people everywhere stopped thinking that they had
the only true solution then we could all come together and get some real work
done.

that can slowly and safely raise the Point of Awareness if practiced
daily.Chakras respond to certain sounds and smells in the same manner
that you respond to your name. Each chakra has sound that can be chanted
while focusing upon it image that will help to move the Point of
Awareness. For example, the sound that the brow chakra responds to is
"Aum". This practice of elevating the Point of Awareness is best done as
if one is climbing a ladder. For example if the Point of Awareness is in
the second chakra, one would focus on the third chakra and raise the
awareness to that level for some time before proceeding to the forth
chakra. Once the awareness has stabilized in that chakra (and it will in
general take at least 45 days) it is time to work on and discover the next
chakra. In helping to determine one's own Point of Awareness if you cannot
see orsense your dominate chakra, you can consider your temperament,
desires and obstacles, and you can consider your sleeping patterns and
position in which you sleep. Siddhi Powers are sometimes gained by
focusing on various chakras causing an activation of that specific energy
center. Siddhi powers are sometimes experienced as a result. . In an
ancient tradition of Enlightenment such as that which has been preserved
by the enlightened monks (the siddha purushas), of Satyaloka Monastery,
siddhi powers as well as enlightenment were often passed down from
master to seeker through diksha (spiritual initiation). The diksha can
be likened to a seed. It may take effect at once or could stay latent for
years. Perhaps it will never take root. There are many variables. Diksha is
part of an triad employed in ancient shamanistic cultures to help thrust
the seeker into a permanent state of enlightenment. This triad is diksha,
sadhana (spiritual practice such as yoga meditation), and maha
sutras. Siddhartha recieved many such dikshas from his teachers in his
struggle for enlightenment. Following is a listing of siddhis that may
occur in the Journey to Enlightenment or in working with the various
chakras Following is a list of 23 siddhi
powers:Considered to be the Warrior Siddhi

I like this Rick. I recall Maharishi or some TM teachers saying
something like it regarding entertaining other movements. The beauty
of the TM technique as I see it, is its efficiency, so that we can
get grounded in its tradition pretty firmly, and are then free to
explore other beliefs and philosophies. FFL is a good indicator of
that!

takes the
disciple in his own being, fills him with consciousness, links the
destiny
of the novice with his own, and thus makes him a permanent part of
himself.
The disciple surrenders to him wholly and his well-being and
progress
depends upon his faithfulness to the Guru who is carrying him on
the path.
To seek for other Gurus, to open to other influences, cuts across

must stick
to one Idea, one Deity, one Guru once the choice has been made.

[FairfieldLife] Re: Resort to One Guru

2005-05-03 Thread jim_flanegin
Exactly. It is precisely the freedom that the *technique* provides
which negates required adherence to ANY group.

Which is why the nature of the TMO eludes me. I could say that it is
a bunch of people doing the 'big fish in a little pond' thing; can't
succeed or control in the 'real world' to this degree.
Or perhaps they are all tuned into Maharishi's darshan more than I
am.
Or perhaps it is a karmic thing; former followers/disciples of
MMY/GD.
Or perhaps they have a genuine desire to enlighten the world and
this is the best vehicle for it.
Or perhaps they are moths to Maharishi's flame, since someone has to
carry out his teaching, and since it is mostly mechanical, who cares
who they are, step right up?
Or perhaps it is a karmic thing and they are drawn to do this work
because of bad actions in former lives and they need the boost.

???

I was regional lecturer in NY State and thereabouts before Orono, then
became Philadelphia center chairman a few months after Orono for a couple of
months, before going over to Switzerland for an ATR and staying 2 1/2 years.
Immediately before Orono I rounded for five weeks in N. Carolina in a
friend's (Hunter Bahnson's) cabin in Blowing Rock, near where the Spiritual
Capital is now. I was with Charlie Donahue, Billy Lazarus, and George
Helland. Maharishi had given us permission to do this because we couldn't go
to the regular ATR at Humboldt due to our having to teach the Orono course.
We got pretty heavy into rounding, including 10 days of silence alone in our
rooms, and came down rather abruptly because Hunter's mother wanted us out
of the cabin.

I was regional lecturer in NY State and thereabouts before Orono, then

Immediately before Orono I rounded for five weeks in N. Carolina in a
friend's (Hunter Bahnson's) cabin in Blowing Rock, near where the
Spiritual
Capital is now. I was with Charlie Donahue, Billy Lazarus, and George
Helland. Maharishi had given us permission to do this because we
couldn't go
to the regular ATR at Humboldt due to our having to teach the Orono
course.
We got pretty heavy into rounding, including 10 days of silence
alone in our
rooms, and came down rather abruptly because Hunter's mother wanted
us out
 of the cabin.

I remember Charlie Donahue talking about that 5 weeks of rounding.

Tom Reynolds initiated me in 1972. Traveling out of Philly. I know
we've met somewhere else besides Orno. Sally Swartz, Lindsey

[FairfieldLife] VERY IMPORTANT MEETING CONCERNING HOG LOTS IN JEFFERESON COUNTY

2005-05-03 Thread Rick Archer
Title: VERY IMPORTANT MEETING CONCERNING HOG LOTS IN JEFFERESON COUNTY

Dear Friends:
I am inviting you to a very important community meeting on Thursday May 5th at 7:45 pm at the Fairfield public library concerning the alarming growth of Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO) in Jefferson County which pose a very serious threat to our health, way of life and property values. When I last communicated with you we believed the number of CAFOs in our area to be 14. After careful research and map plotting we have now discerned the real number to be 24 with more on the planning board. At the meeting we will present large maps with the CAFOs identified so you can see for yourself the growing proliferation of these operations around our community. In fact, it seems that Jefferson County may be designated as a growth corridor for many more of these hog lot operations. Our neighbors in Davis and Washington counties were not vigilant and organized on this issue and the CAFO problem has spread to alarming numbers in their areas. The purpose of this meeting is to educate you about this situation and ask for your financial support to help fund a community defense fund that has already been created to combat this situation which may include legal actions. The attached letters which are safe to open will give you more specific information on these issues. Please plan on attending this meeting if at all possible and bringing with you any concerned friends. If you would like to speak with me personally please call me at 472-6630 or send me a response email. I cannot convey in words how serious this threat is to our community and I ask you to take this matter very seriously and to get involved.
Regards,
David Sykes

---

>From Garry Klicker of Davis County:

The major building in Davis County all occurred in 1997, 1998 1999. In the fall of 1997 Heartland Pork showed up and invited around 300 civic leaders to a free pork chop dinner at the country club and convinced them they were going to bring Davis County great prosperity. They would pay high wages, lots of taxes, buy all the corn we could produce, and put us in a pork paradise. They also said the facilities wouldn't smell bad, they
would knife in all the manure, and if there was a complaint of any kind, they would address it immediately. They said they would build about 20 buildings and we wouldn't notice they were here, except, of course, for a swell of prosperity for all.

By the summer of 1999 they had built 20 locations, mostly with 4 buildings each, and some independents had put up some of their own as well. In what seemed like an eye blink, we had changed from about 100 producers with around 10,000 hogs, with 0 negative environmental problems, to about two dozen producers, with about a million hogs and a sea of waste. There have been a few more sites built since, mostly by independents, but I can't tell you exactly how many we have. An industry spokesman, in a newspaper interview, said we had 117 buildings in Davis County, and I expect that's probably right.

We haven't had any major spills or fish kills, but the loss in human rights terms and economics has been devastating. New home building plans have been scrapped, land has been sold in disgust, countless people who would have moved here have changed their minds and gone elsewhere. Collateral damage is impossible to determine. I have an old friend who lives in Fairfield who has done well financially. I asked him a couple of years ago why he hadn't built a place in the country. He said, because he wasn't about to go to
all that trouble and have hog confinement move in next door and ruin his life. That was before anyone had built in Jefferson County. He just knew the chances were too great.

We have hundreds of people here whose lives have been damaged, and continue to be damaged, by the confinements. The cost to the county is so great, the supervisors won't even talk about it. The joke in the country is, if you want a good road to drive on, live next to a confinement. Those roads get fresh gravel regularly, get graded most frequently, snow is removed immediately, and if an old dirt trail needs widened and graveled, the county jumps right in and does it. We have many, many people who have lived here all their lives who can't enjoy their own property anymore. The smell is so bad, they not only have to stay inside, but some, like Peggy Birchmier, move to their basements. The worst times are spring and fall when they dump the waste on the ground, but there are lots of other times when the wind/heat/humidity/ are just right, that the stench is unbearable. How much is too much? How many is too many? Where is our freedom? GK

The problem I run into if I believe everything someone says is that

He has also said that in enlightened times, any political system
works. In Kali yuga, none of them work.

Why do you believe everything Maharishi says? where this need

I don't characterize it as a need. To me it is like saying water is

It's also implying that you don't think that MMY can ever lie per

Right! But again, there is no judgment or thinking there. I just

I think Tony Abou-Nader's costume is fancier, but the others are the same.
But I'll bet if someone suggests it to MMY, he'll adopt your suggestion. He
did something similar to this back in the 70's or 80's in the UK. Steven
Benson and his boys were all dressed up like I don't know what in Mentmore,

[FairfieldLife] Re: Resort to One Guru

2005-05-03 Thread TurquoiseB
I like this Rick. I recall Maharishi or some TM teachers saying
something like it regarding entertaining other movements. The beauty
of the TM technique as I see it, is its efficiency, so that we can
get grounded in its tradition pretty firmly, and are then free to
  explore other beliefs and philosophies.

Of course, the TMO didn't grant us that freedom. Yet at Poland
Spring, when
asked about reading other spiritual literature, Maharishi said to read
anything you want, but if you find yourself drifting too far from an
understanding of his teaching, just read more of his stuff.

Yeah. Lot of people bought that shit. Remember the rotten
(literally) food? I had one of the cupolas on the top of
the hotel. Remember the thunderstorms? My cupola had a
lightning rod on the top that went down to roof level and
stopped there, never grounding itself. Made for some
interesting meds during the lightning storms. :-)

[FairfieldLife] Re: BURGERDAMMERUNG: TWILIGHT OF THE TRANSCENDENT

2005-05-03 Thread TurquoiseB
I've got a bet going with some folks about whether or not
the costumes for the new Rajas will have insignia of
some sort (color coding, sergeants' stipes, whatever) so
that one can tell the level at which the Raja has risen
in the hierarchy. I'm taking the Yes side of the bet.

I think Tony Abou-Nader's costume is fancier, but the others are
the same.
But I'll bet if someone suggests it to MMY, he'll adopt your
suggestion. He
did something similar to this back in the 70's or 80's in the UK.
Steven
Benson and his boys were all dressed up like I don't know what in
Mentmore,
but Steven was the leader so he had a fancier outfit.

Yeah, Maharishi has always thought hierarchically. Anybody
a database nerd here? It's pretty much the difference
between hiearchical database and relational database. The
mindset echoes throughout the organizational structures,
the cosmology, everything...

I worked at an ice cream parlor in Westport, CT as a teenager (Dr. Pete will remember the place) and we had something called the Pig's Trough. It consisted of 5 of those big cylindrical tubs of ice cream - what are they, 5-gallon? - and then tons of other glob and whipped cream. It cost $50 which was a lot in 1966. If you could eat the whole thing in three hours you could have it for free, but I doubt that anyone ever tried.

Some pretty cool bands played there, including a NYC group called the Magicians, a CT group called the Remains that had a hit or two and performed on the Ed Sullivan show, and Napoleon XIV, who sang one of the top 100 hits of 1966:

They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-haaa!

Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I'd go berserk?
Well. . .

You left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone
Completely out of my mind
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I had said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right. . .

You know you laughed, I heard you laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind, unselfish loving deeds?!!
Hah. . .

Well you just wait
They'll find you yet
And when they do they'll
Put you in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

[FairfieldLife] The functions of the chakras

2005-05-03 Thread anonymousff
[ FW cont from my last post on the topic ]
[ read #6 , i guess we here kinda of a family. hmm..]

The functions of the chakras are as follows:

1. Instinctual. The root chakra prepares vitality, or life
energy, for the chakras above it. It provides the base frequency
of human existence including the instinct for survival.

2. Emotional. The sex chakra powers the basic emotions and
passions of human life.

3. Intellectual. The solar plexus chakra is used in the
development of intellect or mental ability in a linear
direction. Examples of thought expressed as linear intellect
include the performing of arithmetic and the operating of
machinery.

4. Holistic. The heart chakra is developed as issues of
separation are resolved and integrated. Mind, body spirit are
seen as facets of a human being with integrity or wholeness.

5. Creative. The throat chakraâ?Ts function is creativity. It is
capable of inspiring the imagination to create new ideas,
inventions and works of art. Most scientific thinking today is
still in its early, linear phase. With the addition of
imagination, science will enter a phase of great expansion where
it will solve many mysteries of the universe. The further
development of the throat chakra results in gaining the power of
conscious creation, the ability to consciously transform your
reality.

6. Spiritual. The third eye chakra is the home frequency of your
soul family. While a personâ?Ts closest soul mates can be usually
counted on the fingers of two hands, soul families are much
larger. They are extended, related groups of, typically, 2,000
individuals. When you feel a yearning for your true spiritual
home, you are remembering your connection to this level of
consciousness. In the cycle of reincarnation, it is to this
frequency of consciousness that you ultimately ascend in spirit
before planning your next physical incarnation.

7. Universal. The crown chakra is your connection to the
universe on a cosmic scale. Its complete activation brings the
ultimate state of human achievement and enlightenment, that of
cosmic consciousness.

You can call the chakras by their physical position, like solar
plexus, or by their function, like intellectual. The choice is
yours. Their names, by function, are:Â

1. Instinctual chakra (root)
2. Emotional chakra (sex)
3. Intellectual chakra (solar plexus)
4. Holistic chakra (heart)
5. Creative chakra (throat)
6. Spiritual chakra (third eye)
7. Universal chakra (crown)

I have lots of chanting on www.puja.net.

What makes it different is that the chanting is in the context of
yagyas and vedic recitation rather than studio. Plus you can download
it for free.
