RE: [FairfieldLife] Re: The Importance of Group Meditation

2018-12-21 Thread dhamiltony...@yahoo.com [FairfieldLife]
A morality, Q: I don’t recall anything about “principles of higher moral
character” in the air when we first came here from Amherst.

A: Meditation in groups, Maharishi was consistent the whole way about the
utility of group meditating influencing a wellbeing of good for others at a
distance. This remarkable idea in practice is a simple disruptor to a lot of
people’s material paradigm but after so many decades of inquiry in to this
observation the science has well borne out the hypothesis.

And, Guru Dev too in his spiritual construct on moral order could have easily
agreed now given what all we know from the inquiry of science, that people who
do not go to group meditations when they could join with them are being amoral
in their selfishness.

That someone sitting out in a coffee house whether in Leiden watching videos
on their laptop or those meditators idle downtown around the Fairfield, iowa
town square at Paradiso, the Cider House, the Sushi bar, or in Revelations
during the communal group meditation is near to worthless and worse morally in
their contribution to the general good and communal welfare, a drag, amoral.

So this, the virtue of group meditation is now in the reach of this spiritual
but not religious time of science and spirituality that we do live in. Yet,
people who would stay home by themselves, be it some Raja hold up somewhere out
there by themselves, or an editor working overtime somewhere and may be would
meditate later, but also an administration and its defenders with a
religious-like adherence to ill-serving guidelines that should keep people away
who could otherwise be meditating with the group evidently are all worst than
sad but pretty bad morally. Jai Guru Dev.

.< Interesting to see how the principles of higher moral character that were
the communal experiment started at Amherst in ‘78 have been eroded and hurt in
the administration of it.
For outsiders or people from away looking in on the experiment I recommend
their reading "Greetings From Utopia Park" and listening to the NPR 'Fresh Air'
interview of Claire Hoffman for insight to how it went.

I don’t recall anything about “principles of higher moral character” in the
air when we first came here from Amherst.

Q: I appreciate what you’re doing with the group meditation thing, but I like
meditating at home. I usually take a nap first, then just sit up and meditate.
Times vary.

A: Evidently a lot of people feel this way also about meditating with the TM
group, not turning out for what was superradiance
 of the group.
The numbers in the Dome meditation are incredibly low now.

 Meditate and Act

Meditation with activity has always been the TM teaching (B.Gita II v 48).
This teaching was one of the things also used to convince a change in the
administration policy at a point to modify the ‘long’ IAAssembly morning
program rounds to get it all shortened down more to what it is now with the
idea according to the teaching to get them out of there and in to the world and
community before the mid-day and to give them longer in the afternoon to ‘do
things’ of life and be in the community.

That was important to have happen at the time for people’s health and general
wellbeing. The long program the way it was enforced was turning folks in to
pale renunciates in front of us here in the community. Then it is just a matter
of how people may use their time between meditations. Turning compost for
health is not a bad use of time. Meditate and perform action. Communicating
this by FFL was an effective element at the time in turning this around for the
better. .

TMO has people like Claire Hoffman spontaneously levitating several feet! We
have never seen such a thing in at least 1o,ooo years if not millions. TMO has
not the least lack of Guru Tattwa, our Guru Maharaja Adhiraja Adiraja / Dr
Tony Nader shows the Ramayana in the physiology of every individual. No one
alive has come out with more profound knowledge and anyone who listens to him
or read his work has no doubts about this.
Actually the whole movement is full of Guru Tattva, people who just visit
with the long time Governors and Sidhas feel their consciousness elevated just
in their presence alone! even more so the Mother Divine and Purusha. TMO is
full of this most profound success of mass and massive elevated consciousness
such that it is creating a new era for humanity.

I met your Guru, by comparison he was more like just an ordinary man.

Netineti, you do drive an interesting distinction between a continuum of some
who are ‘awakened’ in the BATGAP exploration of it and then those who have
capacities to mediate a transformation of other people’s spiritual state, in a
saintly way. Your guy seems to have capacity chops on the saintly axis.

Thanks for sharing with us here the particular unorthodox spiritual road that
you have taken in your life, Netineti. Yours is not an uncommon road from many
here in the old Fairfield, Iowa meditating community. People from here had
found these kind of transformational spiritual healer teachers also. Maharishi
encouraged it at times. Guru Dev certainly did.

In the 1990’s and -00's many of the more significant transformational
spiritual teachers were propelled in to culture by an expertise of TM people at
making gurus. Often you would see TM people in the organizations doing the
organizing and fronting. It is a long list of sat guru calibre who have visited
Fairfield out of simple connection. Some lot of national leaders in these
organizations have lived here at times over the years. What I notice now in
these organizations is that as the baby-boomers are demographically ‘clocking
out’ and now you see a different group of middle aged people doing the mature
work of organizing, speaking and writing for these people, work that was
formerly fronted by TM people.

I know of some here who see Ganapathy as they can. Apparently some years ago
it was being arranged for him to visit to Fairfield but that was derailed at
the time and he stayed away to Chicago instead (some story about this). It is a
matter of initiative now. I would bet that this could be invited and arranged
by some folks for Ganapathy now.

Fairfield is what it is, a spiritual place, a spiritual community. In the

[FairfieldLife] Guru Tattva

2018-12-21 Thread netineti108
Jaya Guru Datta

 Some random thoughts presented here.

Guru Tattva is what was missing in the TMO and continues to be THE most
important element for the success of any venture.
Only a True Guru can bring the celestial realm to devotees on Earth.

We were told that the TMO followed the Shankaracharya Tradition and Holy
Masters.
Doesn’t that mean that the teachings of Adi Shankara should be taught and
preserved?
Where in the TMO is this being propounded?

Adi Shankara did not say that meditation was the fastest most efficient method
to attain Liberation in this Kali Yuga. “Bhaja Govinda!” Nama Sankirtana is
what He commanded as _THE_ path.
We named the Holy Masters in the puja prayer, but did anyone tell us who did
what in order to be in that lineage?
Parashara, Vyasa, Shuka. Amazing gifts from these Maharishis that we were
never given nor encouraged to pursue.

We all knew how high we felt after chanting the initiation mantras.

Imagine getting, learning and singing the thousands of cognitions by a True
Guru, a _Real_ Maharishi.

"Sri Guru Gita" is THE MOST POWERFUL PRAYER.
Sri Swamiji sings it ever so beautifully on the album “Sri Guru Gita” Which He
also sends us to Kailasa just listening to it.

Here is link to Sri Guru Gita with lyrics and meaning:
 https://vimeo.com/49740465 https://vimeo.com/49740465

In Verse 123, Lord Shiva tells that if this "Guru Gita" is read, listened to,
written or given to other, in all devotion, ignorance is dispelled.
No other text can claim this.
 The key here is DEVOTION.

In verse 124, Lord Shiva says it is 16 times more powerful than _any_other
prayer.
It has the uniques capability to dispel all sins, destroys all hurdles and
difficulties.
  No other prayer does that.

Lord Shiva tells in “Sri Guru Gita” that there is no concept greater than Guru.

In verse 137 He tells Goddess Parvati:

 “Guravō bahavassanti śiṣya vittāpa hārakāḥ
 Durlabhassa Gururlōkē śiṣya santāpa hārakaḥ”
 Meaning:
There are many Gurus in the world who plunder the wealth of their disciples.
But it is very difficult to get a Guru who robs the disciples of their
passions.

Have you ever read the Guru Ashtakam” that was composed by Adi Shankara?

 Nothing greater than Guru.

What Guru Tattva teaches is that when one's Guru passes, they should seek out
another Guru.

 Om Namah Shivaya
