Yes, that's a good observation. However, if you take a look at the sublord of
Rahu's placement, Mercury becomes the stronger indicator for the US chart
during the time period.
In Nadi astrology, Mercury is strongly placed in the 7th house which is in the
sign of Gemini. Since Mercury is also the lord of the 10th house, there is a
good indication that the period of Rahu will be a prosperous one for the US
people and the economy.
Using the Parasara system of jyotish, however, the Rahu period is not very
bright since it is placed in the 8th house of transformation.
We'll just have to wait and see how the karma manifests for the country as a
whole at that time.

Share, IMO each system of astrology, including the western one, gives a certain angle or perspective of a person's birth chart. In total, they give a more comprehensive view of the person's life like a stereo effect. I believe David Hawthorne uses the Systems Approach, which is a variation from the traditional Parasara method. I've read a book about SA, but don't usually apply its techniques. I've attended seminars conducted by KN Rao and Sanjay Rath and often use their methods. However, at the present time, I'm using Nadi astrology to get a different perspective. My knowledge of NA is based on the videos I've seen on YouTube. If there are any seminars in California about Nadi astrology, I would attend it. Share, Yes, that's a good observation. However, if you take a look at the sublord of Rahu's placement, Mercury becomes the stronger indicator for the US chart during the time period. In Nadi astrology, Mercury is strongly placed in the 7th house which is in the sign of Gemini. Since Mercury is also the lord of the 10th house, there is a good indication that the period of Rahu will be a prosperous one for the US people and the economy. Using the Parasara system of jyotish, however, the Rahu period is not very bright since it is placed in the 8th house of transformation.
