You've got to admit he has dogged determination and incredible dedication to World Peace and Vedic knowledge up to the very end,. Talk about eternal optimism...amazing for someone in their 90's! What about it? Was he really out of it or something? If this is the 24-hour puja for Guru Dev, no, sorry, he knew exactly what he was doing. He had to have the puja items handed to him by an assistant, but I think that's because he's almost if not completely blind and didn't want to have to grope around. His hands were steady as a rock, though, and there was no hesitation whatsoever in the way he handled the items. He was sitting up straight as a ramrod. Why BillyG says it was surreal, I can't imagine (unless he was referring to the raggedness of the group recitation).

This is true: Like Mick said, 'What a drag, it is getting old... My Dad is 84, and has colon cancer; he's staying with my brother and his family in Florida- he was always closer to my brother. Anyway, he was in WW-2, spent more than three years in the area of what is now the Czech Republic. I have noticed how much of his life he is processing now- and he seems clearer than ever; and wants to just work on 'soul stuff' he said; meaning he wants to just be in silence. Old age and facing death, something we all will have to do, just has to take us out of our comfort zone. Our whole life finding what makes us comfortable, steady, alert, and so on... Then slowly losing the body that has always been there... How important it is though, to be positive at the end. Very important to be positive and loving.

It was an amazing *contrast* of fragility and strength..the group thing was also rather somber and seemed to have the feel of a group of people watching a phenomenon taking place right before their very eyes, this wasn't just everyday normal.

That's very well put, I think, BillyG. He did look like a mild breeze could blow him away. But until it did, by gum, he wasn't budging! the group thing was also rather somber and seemed to have the feel of a group of people watching a phenomenon taking place right before their very eyes, this wasn't just everyday normal. I didn't tune into that; I'll take your word for it. Interesting.

Billy G: So how do we get to watch this on the internet? What is MMY Channel or do is it another URL? I think most of us would like to see this firsthand if possible? --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, BillyG. B: Thanks for the link- I just glanced at Channel 1 and it is amazing to see how MMY looks in 206 compared to the usual press photos, even from several years ago. What is all the stuff on the tables surrounding all the participants? Is MMY almost blind as someone else stated? It is truly amazing how he has never slowed down in his efforts and devotion to Guru Dev for all these years. --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, BillyG. I agree his devotion is final and absolute...compelling!

--The puja with the 15 or so pundits, and all the flags on the round table begins with the Holy Tradition puja and continues for about an hour with the Mahalakshmi puja.
