When the TM leaders went to Smith Center, KS, to break ground for the new
university out there they arrived in a white limo, perhaps the same one
pictured here. It became a running joke for the townsfolk.

I had the feeling whenever I drove or walked past that limo that it was
owned by the TMO and used to transport important benefactor$. The Mansion
is pretty close to the Raj. Indeed I got a bit disoriented from change of
seasons since last time I'd been up to VC and stopped at The Mansion
thinking it was the Raj, which I was wanting to get to. Now there's an
interesting thing going on between The Mansion and The Raj. That area
reeks of money, with people in expensive clothes, wearing expensive watches,
driving expensive cars. There's something surreal about that out there in
the corn fields.I've spoken with some people who live in that area about
the trials and tribulations of living there on the prairie, like having to
drive to Chicago or St. Louis just to find a decent place to shop.

Speaking of a show of money. I recall hearing about an ?Development
Advisory Council? which Jane Hopson headed up. This was an organization set
up for donors to MUM and the TMO. I had heard that there were special
plush places on campus for members of ?DAC? to ledge and dine at. Now this
was years ago when a good amount of the MUM campus was dirt and mud and
looked more like a toxic waste site then a top drawer university. Surely
there are people here on FFL who are aware of this organization and its
digs. It would be interesting to hear that while I was going downstairs to
take a freezing shower in one of the pods in Winter what other types of
accommodations were available on campus.

About this white stretch limo. The reaction to it shows how little people
on FFL know about Vedic City. I first saw the limo, parked in front of The
Mansion, at least three years ago and I've seen it there many times since.
It didn't at all seem incongruous in front of The Mansion, it fit in
nicely. I didn't even bother to try to figure out what its purpose was.
It just fit in there, seemed right at home. There are many homes in
Fairfield that look to me to be the size and condition to be a chicken
coop. OK, the limo would look incongruous in front of those places, but
well, they're in a different part of the county.

So, it's not Tony's limo, but probably belongs to The Mansion,
that bought it years ago? Apparently the folks living in
Fairfield know less about the comings and goings of the TMO
than people who don't even live in Fairfield. Go figure.

city of lights, at least that's what I remember the owner telling me.
Makes little sense unless you've been walking outside on an overcast

beams on when they detect there's someone on the road, effectively blinding
you. 2) Drive like el Diablo is chasing after them on those gravel covered
roads. Add to that the fact that there's no shoulder so if a car is coming
at you you need to race across the street to get away from it or dive into
the gully.

I always thought that the limo was part of The Mansion. It sat and sat
there, never moving.

Perhaps Judy will be able to google the license plate number and someone
else can do a registration search / carfax on it.

No, they have chauffeurs. ;-)

Very few stretch limousines like that these days in

owned either by companies or livery services.

In Europe, the rich people try to hide how expensive

Same associations. But here, stretch limos are more a
sign of the importance of the folks riding in them
than of great personal wealth (although the two often
go together). Oh, and pimpmobiles aren't usually

Cute. But I wouldn't defend the limo, actually. I'd guess
that it *does* belong to the TMO, but that the TMO most
likely bought it (or it was donated) well after MMY holed
up for good in Vlodrop, because it doesn't look that old.
They must use it to drive around whatever dignitaries
need to be transported anywhere, not just King Tony.

A limo like that does make a certain amount of sense for
officials of big companies or heads of state who are so
busy they need to be able to continue working and even
have business meetings on the road. For anybody else,
including TMO people in Fairfield, they're a joke.

I was interested to see, however, that the limo was parked
outside the men's (I assume) dome. Does that mean some of
the TMO bigwigs were actually doing program there?

The bicycle parked right behind the limo is a nice touch...

You've got to admit, though, wouldn't it REALLY
fuck with everyone's minds if Da King pulled up
to the dome in his pimpmobile and out of it
climbed half a dozen leggy Hollywood bimbos
wearing high heels and low morals?

Then he follows, dressed in his robes and crown.

The bouncer at the door deferentially removes
the satin rope blocking the entrance and waves
Da King in, while the peons look on in adoration
and envy from their place in line.

:-)

Would they really be that brazen?

I guess by now you've read Rick's reply, and
know that this is Da King's real pimpmobile.

The mind boggles.

I want someone to film him arriving somewhere
in this pimpmobile and then put a gangsta rap
song behind it as the soundtrack and post it
to YouTube. I think that would be phat.

:-)

That’s real. they really drive him around in that.

And he doesn't feel a bit, um, awkward riding around
in that? No self-awareness apparently. None.
Wonder what the effects on his kids will be.

Just those like you who are negatively obsessed with the TMO. The other 99.99%,
myself included, wouldn't notice.:-)
