Is more of a recent journalism on the layers of TM meditator sociology; This seems to go along with a recent genre written by or about a younger generation that came of age in Utopia Fairfield, Iowa and TM. For an outsider coming in this journalist does a good job of touching on layers of the sociology from interviews. Often time journalists or scholars coming in as outsiders can suffer a lack of perspective on what they are seeing and hearing from a lack of back-story and nuance. This seems an okay piece-ing together of material. The world is a much more gnarly place than it was when most of us started. Whatever the technique (I not- iced the same thing Ingegerd is talking about while teaching something other than TM), the contrast between one's previous life without access to the transcendent and life *with* access to the trans- cendent must be pretty amazing in these times.
