Some of it made sense to me because I knew Buffy Mooney. He was on my TTC
and I was in Switzerland when he went crazy.

2010-08-25 Thread Peter
I second that. The 3 stage pranayama, mudras with ujya, then the kriya,
especially the long one in a group really suffuses you with sattva and stops
the mind. As I said in another post, my mind often completely stops when I'm
doing kriya  and I'll just sit there until it starts again!

I think just doing the 3-Stage pranayama makes a
noticeable difference as an entry to meditation.

However, SSRS was quite clear that kriya itself
clarifies the nadis, dissolves tamas, pacifies rajas, and suffuses the mind
with sattva. The consequence is that it brings the mind close to or into
samadhi. Thus, when meditation begins, the mind is focused and quiet yet clear
and transparent in its perception. A vivid, inner silence can then be
recognized as the fundamental condition of awareness. This is way beyond a
teacher having someone
opening and closing his or her eyes to experience the distinction between outer
and inner perception and then pointing out some instants of quietness.

Erma Bombeck said it best in the title of her book The Grass is Always
Greener Over the Septic Tank.

I am finding each day that the Art of Living kriya is taking the doom and
gloom out of my TM/TMSP. I go into my program now full of light and
experience that light throughout my TM/TMSP program. I remember, soon after
becoming a sidha, taking a week long WPA at H. St. NW. A more
experienced sidha despaired of his chronic insomnia. Others chimed in. I
couldn't understand how something as wonderful as the TMSP could allow this
sort of suffering to creep in. Over the years people tried marmalade, vastu
and basti, all to no avail. I saw the sidhas around me becoming depressed,
nearly falling over from lack of sleep, becoming unglued.

It's very clear to me, having been on CCP for a very long time when it got
down to just Bobby Kennedy and myself, then on IA a decade later, that
there's something wrong with the TM/TMSP. It's unbalanced, as, I suspect,
was it's spiritual leader.

Me, I'm happy as a clam right now and could happily leave this group were it
not for the very vigorous conversations that have taken place here in the
last month or two revealing the good, the bad and the ugly side of
Maharishi, the TMO and MMY's teachings. IMO something very important was
missing from the TM/TMSP practice (balance, perhaps?). I've gotten it back,
alas, and I'm happy for that.

But I no longer need his departed Holiness, his Dome, his bogus 1%, square
root of 1% numbers and his organization, or what's becoming at least three
organizations, one in Vlodrup, one in Paris and one in India.

Good to hear you're doing well Tom. All the best to you. I think it's a
healthy sign that you're posting under your real name. Not that there's
necessarily anything wrong with those using a pseudonym, but there's
something honest and direct and open about using one's real name.

Erma Bombeck said it best in the title of her book *The Grass is Always
Greener Over the Septic Tank*.

Yep, I suppose they do. The Country Club gets to decide who becomes a
member.

Or as Groucho Marx put it, "I wouldn't want to join a club that would accept
me as a member."

I was hoping someone would get it. I spent many an hour underneath a shower

Methinks you are an ass of the first order. I am not a true believer. I
took 35 years to have my falling out with MMY and the TMO. I thought all the
vastu, jyotish, yagyas and all the other was just a moneymaking scheme. I
have ever felt a stranger in a strange land attending TMO functions. I
fondly remember Jane Hopson's attempt to sell timeshares in Mandala 6 during
one entire Christmas WPA. So many fuckups. So many fowl ups. Like, for
example, the THMD developing a cult of Mother Divine and standing back after
each motion, after each word, to witness their actions. I could go on and
on about the utter foolishness. Maharishi constantly betting on a losing
horse "Hail President Czinao". The Philippines campaign.

I am not sold on SSRS. But I do like his Art of Living kriya and the
breezy style exuded by the teachers of SSRS I've met.

Now if you think that I'm a spiritual seeker, addicted to techniques and
knowledge, you are right. But you're still an ass for the way you phrased
it.

guy, the kriya, meeting teachers of another guru who are natural. SSRS
stresses naturalness, forgivingness, helpfulness. I at first looked down on
my friends who were still going to IA (on my support, airfare,
transportation, and so on). Now I just let them be. Let the Dome be. I
will do my program, aided by the kriya I do before morning program. Let
those who run MUM, the TMO and Dome policy go tither and commit fornication

Rick,

Has anyone ever in the past come to you officially and braced you about
running FFL?

No.

Did you ever get an official "turn down" for a badge renewal?

Yes. After they first took it away, I inquired a few times and got the
run-around.

Was there ever a time when the TMO actually was adult about the whole
process, or, as I am guessing, did they just let you twist in the wind and
never really confront you while endlessly delaying badge approval etc.? If
they did confront you officially, was there a paper trail of the
transactions?

No paper trail that I'm aware of. They didn't boot me out for FFL, but for
Amma involvement, five days after 9/11, when there was a big drive on to get
everyone to the domes. I was very regular. I had started FFL a few days
before 9/11, but it was small and they weren't aware of it.

And then there's the question of whether Rick even wants to go to the domes.
He may not particularly care one way or another.

I don't want to. And I'm not doing the TM/TM-Sidhi program as instructed, so
I don't qualify to be there. I believe they have the right to stipulate that
those in the domes should be practicing what they're supposed to be
practicing in there.
