libvirtd and public access to guests

2009-10-08 Thread Pavel Lisy
Hello

I've started playing with libvirt and I have question?

What is proper way to make guest accessible from net.

I have mode=nat /var/lib/libvirt/network/default.xml.

libvirtd makes this rules in FORWARD chain

-A FORWARD -d 192.168.231.0/24 -o virbr0 -m state --state RELATED,ESTABLISHED
-j ACCEPT
-A FORWARD -s 192.168.231.0/24 -i virbr0 -j ACCEPT
-A FORWARD -i virbr0 -o virbr0 -j ACCEPT
-A FORWARD -o virbr0 -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-port-unreachable
-A FORWARD -i virbr0 -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-port-unreachable
-A FORWARD -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-host-prohibited

If I add
iptables -I FORWARD -i eth0 -o virbr0 -j ACCEPT
guests are accessible

My question is:
Is is possible write this somewhere to configuration?

I've tried to put it in /etc/sysconfig/iptables but it libvirtd put his
rules before mine.

I've found two directories
/var/lib/libvirt/iptables/filter
/var/lib/libvirt/iptables/nat

I suppose I can write my rules here but I haven't find any docs about
format. Can somebody help me with it?

Maybe a good idea is to start directly with TeX Live 2009 in Fedora
because TL 2008 has different package set and TL 2009 contains newest
packages and will likely be released this year. And before that we can
 help with testing :)

My current effort is aimed to font packaging so that the fonts are
available to non-TeX Live users as well.

 For more information:
 http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/TeXLive

Thanks

one question: in F11 is csindex program missing. I've read somewhere
there was problem in missing autoconf for it. What about new TeX Live?
Is it there now? Can I help if csindex is still missing?

 sorry, explressed not well.

This happens only when I use Open Office. Other programs print without
problem. OpenOffice does not listen even when I set page size to A4. I
set default page size in CUPS as A4. But OpenOffice looks somewhere else
and it prints in Letter page size.

I had the same problem long time. I have found solution (maybe)

Open OOwriter (empty document)
Run from menu: File-Printer settings
Select in combo-box first printer, then click to properties and set
   proper Paper size
Repeat it for every printer in combo-box, even for Generic Printer

Then quit OOwriter

Now try open existing document and print it.
It looks that even Printer Size is empty in print dialog (tab
Properties) it uses proper size (I set it to A4) and after first print
it is visible in print dialog too.

Please send me info if it helps you too.

It was my longtime question too.

 I should ask the obvious:

Is this printing a document that has already been created? (Which will
come with its own page size as part of the document.) You'll never fix
this externally, for all such documents.

I had the same problems with .doc documents from my friends and I am
pretty sure that there was A4 paper size inside because nobody use
letter paper size in our region. But OOorg has set letter paper size for
print always. After hint that I mentioned in my previous email it is
working better.

Mám čerstvě nainstalovanou F7 (pracuji s fedorou denně již pár let, teď
jsem koukal, že jsem s FC3 kolem nahradil RH7.3 :-). Mohu tedy

ftp://ftp.tmapy.cz/pub/linux/print-output/firefox-www.formule.cz.ps

toto je naopak v pořádku:
ftp://ftp.tmapy.cz/pub/linux/print-output/firefox-formule1.auto.cz.ps

(acroread to vytiskne OK).
