Hi, I can only tell you my experience with chemo and lymphoma. You should, of course, discuss everything with your vet. One of my cats has lymphoma and has been through three rounds of chemo. When the side-effects were just too severe I asked them to lower the dosage. I was happy with my decision because it did not seem to effect the outcome of the treatment and my cat wasn't suffering from awful side-effects. Good luck! Since then, she has been treated with Staphylococcal Protein A and has recovered very well from severe thrombocytopenia and neutropenia. The lymphoma had an apparent short time of remission but returned in a persistent constant slow growth. A chemmo protocol using L-asparaginase+Prednisone was initiated and interrupted after 3 weeks since no effect was noted. A recent ultrasonographic image exam showed a large and encapsulated tumor. Considering that Pupa upholds good red/white BCC, I decided to begin a more aggressive chemmo protocol (COP: cyclophosphamide, vincristine, predinisone) two weeks ago. I have seven catsone, Mandy, is positive. I adopted her in July 2007. I discussed with my long-time vet and we agreed that if all my other six cats (all over five years old) had their vaccinations up to date (he stated that the vaccine is 90+ percent effective), there was very little danger to them. So, 15 months have gone by and all are healthy--including Mandy, who is the absolute picture of health. I believe there is very little danger in "mixing" as long as kittens are not involved. I have three positives and four negatives. They have all been together since April. Have 2 positive and 3 negatives. One of my pos lived with my 3 negs for years before I even knew she was pos! Nobody has come down with FELV--I vaccinate the negs. i too have my grave sites. in the 28 years i have been here, i have buried 2 dogs, one a "dump" dog so called because he was dumped by his people and 8 cats. cats were all dumps too. they just show up and you can't turn them away. one was a feral and it took me 8 months just to scratch his chin. turned out to be the most loveable one iever had. i live in the middle of the woods and my boys and girls all loved roaming and hunting. even brought home a copperhead one day. keep adopting and loving. each one brings his or her own special contribution to our lives. dorlis Sally Davis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Jill > > I am so sorry.
