Re: [Felvtalk] Murphy Update-doing better!
I WISH I HAD SUCH WONDERFUL PATIENTS. MINE ARE THE BITE, SLAP, RUN AWAY AND HIDE VARIETY. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS A CABINET BANGER. MY BOB STARTED IT AND NOW ALL 8 KNOW THE BEST WAY TO GET MY ATTENTION IS TO OPEN AND CLOSE DOORS. I WON'T GET SO UPSET WITH THEM NOW. IT IS A SMALL PRICE TO PAY TO KNOW THEY ARE HEALTHY AND HAPPY. Interferon 2x a day. We also gave both he and Rosie their LTCI injection-it was 4 weeks from the last one. His lab CBC came back with RBC 3.52 HGB 5.1 and HCT 22.5 Lymphocytes 5. He has also lost a little over a pound since January, but isn't thin. A week later on 7/29 we took him in for an in-office test (Thursday) his PCV 23% and TP 5.0-he is acting like his old self again-racing me into the kitchen, standing on his hind legs and grabbing the cabinet door with his huge paws and banging the door until he gets a treat! This is so fantastic to hear! What a character, banging the cabinet doors to get mom's attention. It's to your credit that you got him the treatment he needed, with a big ol' dose of love. Give him a big hug from all his 'fans' here. That's great, that's quite a comeback - some cats just naturally are fantastic patients and will forgive anything...then, there are others that fight you tooth and nail not to take any meds...variety is the spice of life!
