An alternate solution might be to change the kbackgammon exectuable

there anything else that needs to link against these loadable modules?

Why? What benefit is there in doing it that way?

[Fink-devel] Problem with texinfo.

2002-11-26 Thread Andrea Riciputi
Hi,
there is a problem with fink's texinfo. Version 4.2 doesn't exist
anymore and it has been replaced by v4.3. As a result I'm not able to
install a lot of software that require texinfo, such as gnuplot, swig
and so on...

By the way, I've noticed that I've already texinfo installed on my
system by means of Gerben's teTeX distro. Is it possible to create a
place-holder package as it was done in other cases??

Thanks in advance,
Andrea.

Re: [Fink-devel] Problem with texinfo.

2002-11-26 Thread David R. Morrison
The download URL for texinfo-4.2 was changed several days ago. Please run
fink selfupdate-cvs to get an updated version of the fink .info file for
this package, which will find the source at the correct location.

Anyone is welcome to check out submitted packages on the submission tracker, even if you cant commit it, you can check the packages for obvious things like shared library dependencies, "fink validate" errors on .deb file or info file etc, etc, etc. I get rather tired of explaining the same things to everyone. :)

This would be a lot easier if OmniWeb stopped calling everything it downloaded from the trackers "download.php". Can this be fixed?

I am incredibly annoyed by that as well. It is a bug in their server, i believe, but they don't seem to care:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailaid=568837group_id=1atid=21

The way I do it now is a pain but it has become second nature:

Select the fliename, copy, right click download, select "save link
to", paste the name, and select a directory.

That reminds me, i was going to make a Watson UI for the sf tracker because of this :)

Works fine for me in chimera. :)
