[Fink-devel] pdflib6 7.0.2-1000 on fink tracking
Jeff, I have uploaded new packaging for pdflib6 based on the newest 7.0.2 tarballs on fink tracking. The package required patching to allow it to build on Leopard (and currently blocks building apbs). Could you please push this into fink unstable. The package passes... fink -m --build-as-nobody rebuild pdflib6 Thanks in advance. Jack - This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Still grepping through log files to find problems? Stop. Re: [Fink-devel] error with versioned package when updating to perl 588
Thanks Christian, I actually already figured out what was wrong in the meantime :) Oddly, I already had a similar part in my info file, so I am not sure why this wasn't flagged when I built it on 10.4 - I guess that at that time the validator didn't check for the location of versioned package files. - Koen. [Fink-devel] fontconfig2 update
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 I've released an updated version of fontconfig2 (to 2.4.1) which has been rearranged to some extent. It now contains binaries, and has it's own configuration in %p/etc/fonts instead of assuming /etc/fonts exists (and, for that matter, is compatible) but is still capable of reading existing local.conf files in /etc/fonts and /usr/X11/lib/X11/fonts if they are there. Please test it, and let me know if you hit any issues; I've tested it on my own system for a while now, but I don't do very many crazy things with fonts myself. :) - -- Benjamin Reed a.k.a. [Fink-devel] Maybe we should have an X11 fink package for 10.5
The incredibly helpful Ben Byer is making available source complete with patches for bug-fixes for Apple's X11: http://www.x.org/wiki/XDarwin also he's made a MacPorts package for those who want to keep their X11 up to date. This is the first compelling reason I have seen to use MacPorts. I've never used fink's X11 package in the past, but now I would if one existed that installed this. I'll volunteer to maintain it if no one else will, but I would feel better if someone less stupid than me did it. (I'll also be out of town for a week with iffy or no internet connection.) [Fink-devel] pdflib6 and fftw (2)
If someone with the authority to do so could put the upgrades on the tracker into 10.5 cvs I can do a bunch of updates before catching a flight to England where my access to internet may be as dicey as access to hot water for a shower. I have to leave in about an hour... Thanks. Bill William G. Scott contact info: http://chemistry.ucsc.edu/~wgscott - This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
