Re: [Fink-users] Failed: phase installing: llvm34-3.4-0e failed
Hi David, Looks like it died at the start of InstallScript. How odd. Can you bzip me a full log of the build so I can see if any earlier commands failed? (and compare against my 10.7 log) Unfortunately I did not keep my log (I had to reboot following a system freeze). And as I said I found a work-around to update the packages. And perhaps list: % ls -l /sw64/src/fink.build/llvm34-3.4_0e % ls -l /sw64/src/fink.build/llvm34-3.4_0e/build Since I have updated these directories are gone. Now I remember that the first time I installed llvm34, I tried first to install llvm34-bundle and it failed very early with something similar to what I have posted. What is the use of 'pushd ../build/last' in #!/bin/sh -ev pushd ../build/last /tmp/fink.O2hsE: line 2: pushd: ../build/last: No such file or directory ? Re: [Fink-users] Failed: phase compiling: ginac2-1.6.1-2 failed
David, Could you (or anyone) please test it for me on xcode 5? I have applied the patch and run 'sudo make' in the directory and its parent without error. However I don't know how to do the packaging (what I can do is expand the compressed tar, apply the patch, and compress the tar). Is there any better solution? I just checked 3.1.3-4 into CVS. I haven't quite built up the dependencies yet on 10.9 to test it myself, but the pkgconfig logic works in arpack-ng-mpi (I didn't need any extra depedencies to build that). Let me know how it works. Hi Jack, I have found the problem: 'sw' is hardcoded in /sw64/fink/10.7/stable/main/finkinfo/languages/llvm-gcc42-10.8.info as tar -cpf - sw | (cd %d ; tar xpf -) So the build works if fink directory is 'sw', but not otherwise. Can you post INSTALL_LOG/sMVNTUNE.LOG? I add it at the end of this mail. Apparently the relevant error is /sw/src/fink.build/atlas-3.10.1-1/darwin_bld/bin/ATLrun.sh: line 4: 63889 Segmentation fault $atldir/$* I suspect this will reveal that passing -mcpu=7400 -mtune=7400 on mflags solves the build problem. Re: [Fink-users] Failed: phase compiling: libavcodec53-shlibs-0.8.12-2 failed
I have no way of testing this on either 10.4 or powerpc. Only suggestion I was able to find online was to remove libtool14 if it is installed. If that doesn't work, I have no idea of what else to try. Thanks for the answer, but it did not help. However I knew that I have been hit by this snag and I finally found the answer at http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=Pine.LNX.4.64.1206211728250.5542%40hal-00.csl.cornell.eduforum_name=fink-users The following bloc # Prefer compilation with gcc-4.2 if available if [ -x /usr/bin/gcc-4.2 ]; then ../configure %c --cc=gcc-4.2 else ../configure %c fi should be deleted from the info file for ppc-darwin8. Re: [Fink-users] Failed: phase compiling: svn-swig-pm588-1.7.7-1 failed
How did 'gcc' get to be gcc 4.8.0? Did you create a symlink to it? I put the bin dir in the PATH after the sw ones, but before the usr ones. That's likely to cause a lot of problems. A few problems, yes (as in this case), but not a lot, probably not more than having gcc 4.2 as the default (I have to do the switching each time fink is updated). Apparently most of the packages set CC and CXX to what they need. Dominique -- Everyone hates slow websites. So do we.
