Indeed it works with oracle jdk , first you must create a new oracle
account :)

https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html
download the tar.gz for linux 64
cd ~/Downloads
tar -zxvf jdk-8u231-linux-x64.tar.gz
I have moved it to /opt
sudo mv ~/Downloads/jdk1.8.0_231 /opt/
export JAVA_HOME=/opt/jdk1.8.0_231
./build.sh pdf
pdf:

BUILD SUCCESSFUL

Re: [Firebird-docs] Choosing the translation service

2014-11-11 Thread marius adrian popa
He is not out of touch , MD and github is proved to be better for getting
more translations and docs and code contributions

After we have docbook it can be converted to MD

http://johnmacfarlane.net/pandoc/index.html

pandoc -f docbook firebirdinternals.xml -t markdown

can easily contribute? SF is not making this easy.

Jiri, you seem to be out of touch with this thread. It is about
translating the Russian version of the Language Reference into English,
from which point volunteers can set about translating it into other
languages. We currently have a crowd-funding going on to raise the money
to pay a professional translator for the Russian-to-English task.

[Firebird-docs] Reference page Page reorg

2014-08-22 Thread marius adrian popa
I've got a suggestion from Lukas Eder for reference manuals page

Maybe it needs a little reorg and cleanup

https://twitter.com/lukaseder/status/502724453714124800

some documents can be put at the bottom or in another area

for example Interbase and Firebird coexistance/ FB 1.0 GSG can be
moved to Archive/Older docs category

Yes, if it's published or publishable.

Do you usually build and upload your docs yourself?
