Hello,

I'm looking for an easy, inexpensive way to convert my .mov QuickTime
movies ( 2 to 10 minutes long) to .flv in order for me to put them on
a web site to be viewed by Flash Player. I do have Flash MX 2004
installed on my Mac, but I haven't been able to determine if I can
use it to do this conversion.

I'm not a tech person, I'm a musician making instructional videos, so
I do need something easy to learn and use. Does anyone have hands-on
experience with any program that meets these needs?

I appreciate any help anyone can give.

Thanks.

Hi,

This is OT and I am googling too, but my we are trying to import an
uncompressed AVI into FLV format, except we want higher quality than the
default Flash Video Importer can provide.

The FLV itself is going to be running on a local-machine rather than
the internet, so we don't care about bandwidth.

The AVI is 3D textured landscape with 2D hand-drawn animations
inserted. The pixelation from the FLV compressor is particularly
noticeable so apart from keyframing as many frames as possible, is there
anything else we can do to improve the quality?

Are there any 3rd party compressors better suited to this that people
can recommend?

   Thanks

What software are you using to capture a swf (including audio) and
save as .avi? Note: I'm not talking about exporting from the .fla --
this .swf uses scripted tweens and other scripting, so I need to
capture the entire animation sequence, including audio, from the .swf
in either the browser or the standalone Flash player. Must be
Windows-based. Prefer something under U.S. $100. I see some programs
online but can't tell if they're professional quality.

Thanks,

 Good Morning,

Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation error and
requires that the file be set in the global settings as a trusted site.
Their file does not trigger this error. I have looked at the original
ActionScript code and can't see the difference.

Could the error be triggered by the version that the swf is compiled at?
Why would one swf file trigger the error and another not, even though
they are calling the same data source and are in the same directory?

 Any feedback is much appreciated!!!
