[flex_india:22509] Create Email Templates Html/Text
Hi friends,I have a requirement of updating and saving email templates in flex.This emails will be used to send notification.We are using .Net on server-side.How can I achieve this in flex.Means how can I save a text in html/text file and directly save it to the server as .txt or .html from flex and again view this file in edit mode.Is there any way to achieve this ? Rahul, I do have heard about LCDS and have worked on that also :) LCDS do not connect to database directly. LCDS provides u the various options to access different kind of services like proxy services (Webservice, HTTPService, RemoteObject), Messaging Services, Data management services and these services will be talking to Database not the LCDS!!. But all these services are written in some different technologies (java, php, coldfusion, etc). They are not written using LCDS or Flex. Hi, I need to convince my clients to go for Flex rather than AJAX frameworks. Because of this I need information on the following. 1. Performance analysis/charts on Data communication from Flex to Back-end and AJAX to back-end 2. Amount of memory taken by any swf file on the client's machine. Say: How much time it may take to display a 1MB swf file on the browser provided there is no caching on the client's browser. Will there be any performance problems in- case there is a large swf file running on the client's browser? 3. Is it ok to have my Flash UI running over a server hosted over SSL? Will there be any security issue? 4. Why should I go for Flex and not for its competitors like JQuery, GWT, Silverlight etc. Can anyone please answer these questions. As shown above, i defined the classes appropriately at flex side. The alias

When i get the object of B from a remote object and call the listOfA
variable, its always returned as null. But when i access the dummyField,
am able to get the value that is set into it.
If the return type of the remote service object is Listxxx, than we get
the result as event.result as ArrayCollection - This way its working
perfectly.
But when receiving an Object, which has a List in that and when this is
being accessed its returned as null.
Anyone faced such kind of issue.
Let me know what changes i need to do.

I am having one dictionary object in my local cache. I want to create
another dictionary object with the same values of the first dictionary
object. I tried the following way. But its giving me TypeError: Error
#1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert obj...@49ad0b1 to
com.citi.gwm.pipeline.vo.MappingVO error.
heirData = new Dictionary();
var tempDict:Dictionary = cache.getHeirarchialData();
for (var key:* in tempDict){
var mVO:MappingVO = tempDict[key] as MappingVO;
heirData[key] = MappingVO(ObjectUtil.copy(mVO));
}
Did I missed anything? I even tried

I got the same error when i worked with ArrayCollections.
This comes when ArrayCollection contains only one item.
so i uesd ArrayUtil.toArray(new ArrayCollection());
and it was solved.

Amount of memory taken by any swf file on the client's machine. Say: How much time it may take to display a 1MB swf file on the browser provided there is no caching on the client's browser. Will there be any performance problems in- case there is a large swf file running on the client's browser? 3. Is it ok to have my Flash UI running over a server hosted over SSL? Will there be any security issue? 4. Why should I go for Flex and not for its competitors like JQuery, GWT, Silverlight etc. Can anyone please answer these questions.
