Works fine here. The old flash 8.0 downloads the new Flash Player 9.0. Maybe you forgot to copy playerProductInstall.swf to the same folder of your application. Hello Matt, OK, I downloaded and installed an old :) Flash player 8.0.22 (no beta, no debug) from http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp8_archive.zip ( BTW, this ZIP archive does not include Flash Player 8.0.24 installer for Windows yet). So, I am sitting here in Kyiv, Ukraine, waiting for the ping from Adobe.com to update my Flash Player 8 to "true" Flash Player 9. Since 2.0 is final now, I was hoping that users would get an automatic plugin upgrade, since that was the only thing that kept us from using Flex 2.0 in a live application. Any tips? [flexcoders] Flex 2.0 final: Flash player version check?
Hi, I have just built a first test project in flex 2.0 final, hoping that the included check for Flash Player 9.0 presence would work, but no success. Since 2.0 is final now, I was hoping that users would get an automatic plugin upgrade, since that was the only thing that kept us from using Flex 2.0 in a live application. Any tips?
