Aaaah, that sounds interesting. Are you building FlightGear on Tru64 or on
Linux ? I have a 300 MHz AlphaServer1000 at home - yet without graphics
board - with Tru64 on it. Although my machine don't have an AGP slot (does
your's ? I believe r128 is AGP only !?) I might put some other PCI board in
and have a try
Martin.
Tru64 and Opengl is kind of a mistery to me. From what i remember, first you
need a supported graphics adaptor, i.e Digital 4d20, 4d50, 4d51 (Cpq has new ones
too...) Then you need a sepatate OPEN3D license (Not included in the OS). IMHO.
OTOH, if you really want to try, see
http://moon.hanya-n.org/comp/alpha/hct/graphics.html
Besides, PCI video cards are cheap by now.
Me? I have a Digital Server 3305 (Like an AS800 , but built for NT), with a
16 mb Ati 128 PCI card, with Linux.
It's a nice machine. Getting DRI to work was a headache.
I was thinking about gzip failures (compiler related), do you know if there is any
way to retrive the scenary
files uncompressed?. The gcc port is not very good on the alpha, sadly.
