Re: [Flightgear-devel] A320 progress

2003-06-25 Thread Jorge Van Hemelryck
For those interested, there were several models of the Wright Flyer this
year at the Paris Air Show, including a Flyer One, not quite identical
to the original one, made by students at the ESTACA, a French engineering
school, and they intend to fly it before the end of the year (on december
17, to commemorate the Wright Flyer's first flight). A friend of mine was
responsible for the publicity, and she succeeded in having regional, and
maybe national, TV crews come over so that they would appear on the
evening news.

I'm glad it's not just me, then! I'm struggling with a *very*
simplified C152!

Cheers,

What was the flight model for this? Was David Culp
 modifying the 737?

Yes, it's got A320-200 metrics and 737 aerodynamics. The engines are higher
thrust versions of the CFM-56.

Been there a few times around 1990. Even the business days where that much
crowded that I decided not to spent too much effort to go there. And most of
the nice gimmicks were _much_ too expensive (thinking of Microturbo :-)
Hey, anyone interested in a political discussion why some US American
companies decided to stay away from Le Bourget this year ? ;-))

For people interested in General Aviation it much more interesting to visit
the Aero in Friedrichshaven - in april (unfortunately I didn't have the time
to go there). But I won't miss the RSA meeting this month at Chambley
(18.-20.06.). Anyone interested to meet there ?

Martin.

Exactly. I think the jsbsim config file has been put in FlightGear CVS

Very nice indeed! Still making my model, and am way too embaressed to
show anything of it. Well one of two models...Want to also release an
F104 model as in theory it should be easier to do :). Its just a missile
with a couple of small wings added on.

Never made the Paris Airshow. Wish I had, one year you get Farnborough,
the next year its Paris. Not sure what the US equivalent is...

NON! Ça suffit! J'en ai mal de tout cela! It's a source of endless
noise and little signal on all the aviation newsgroups and mailing

Ailerons, Flaps, Rudder, Elevator are animated.
Still have to make the landing gear and animate it.
Several part of the texture are taken from the 747. Thanks Jim.
It flies with the aero model from Dave Culp.
