Alan, it looks Ernest Lergon gave you fabulous free feedback at a level of
detail you would have a hard time paying for. And Ernest does great
stuff...some stuff on his site does the best job of trying to bring old
Fluxus ideas and games (e.g., some of Emmett Williams' stuff) up to
internet speed and interactiveness that I've seen. Check out Ernest's
online construction of Emmett's Four-Directional Song of Doubt for Five
Voices [at http://www.virtualitas.com/finearts/archive/ee.shtml ] -- and
this was three years ago!

More, Ernest! Give us more!

So Did mine. Really great job Patricia on the whole thing. Excellent.
Although I am one who prefers process to product in mail art , I still
was pleased with it. I shall be reciprocal with you and JH Jr. sometime
soon.

Again kudos for the stamp project!

Just so nonstampcontributores don't feel left out, and I wish I had the bucks to
send them to all, I had a few sheets left over for mail art, so included some to
you, Devon. The stamps sent to contributors became, essentially a kind of book
- an editioned set. More stuff included in them than stamps.

Ummm, the letter was supposed to go to Alex Cook...David could forward??

The letter was great to on both yourself and Josh's part. I added stuff
where you deleted, so as to make a whole new story for someone else to go to

I sent it to David, though. I forgot who I was supposed to send it to. I am

Alan:

I am definitely looking forward to this presentation from you,
Alan, about Redentore, at Fluxlist online of course..
I can deliver in return

Photographs of the GooglePlex.com staff meeting at the Hong Kong
Cafe in Ventura, CA on Saturday last...

Pictures of:
Jason, Dave, and Johnny dancing on stage with hula pom poms in
hand
Jason twirling pom poms on stage (pom poms on a string) It was
his birthday
Johnny Brewton pulling his wife, Giselle's, pigtails (It was not
his birthday)
A shot of the Polynesian band at the Hong Kong Cafe(?), (the band
who did not take a break for 3 hours)
The notes written back and forth across the many tables put
together re. the subject of when the P. band was going to take a
break.
Johnny Brewton with a lamp on his head
A double exposure produced worthy of publication done by Jeff
Hughart when he was pretending to be Andy Warhol with no film in
the camera

And many more enticing shots.

Our motto: " We are not famous, our boats are not seaworthy, our
galleries are only online, we are not in Venice, but we are sure
as hell visible"

Do deliver, please, and you shall receive.

Me!

Dear Allan,

checking your page

http://digilander.iol.it/freeformfreakoutorg/index.html

I saw following errors:

A. The JavaScript-Function
onLoad="timerONE=window.setTimeout('scrollit_r2l(100)',500);"

is not working, because 'scrollit_r2l' is not defined.

B. For the HMTL:

1. replace all '\' with '/' - we're in UNIX...

2. replace all '/fffo/' with '/freeformfreakoutorg/'
- watch the slashes, because you have several files named FFFO...
(me think, you'll have no subdirectectory fffo)

3. Following picture is really missing:

/freeformfreakoutorg/images/music.gif

BTW: Are you sure, you must use such big animations on the frontpage -
up to 153 KByte each - sum up to 600 KB!
That means on ISDN approx. 1.5 minutes to download at full speed - and
your server is not that fast.
As you are scaling them down in the browser, it would be much better
to make the original gif smaller - better for quality and transfer
amount!
Moreover the images are distorted, e.g. fruit.gif is scaled
from 259 x 54 pix to 200 x 60 pix.

4. The tag is Windoze Internet Explorer specific.
Visitors with reasonable standard browsers like Netscape won't see the
effect.

5. The links in white font on white background seem to be intended.
Then the part

"http://www.nutscape.com/fluxus/homepage/">THE FLUXUS
HOMEPAGE"

must read (watch the position of the 2nd ")

"http://www.nutscape.com/fluxus/homepage/">THE FLUXUS
HOMEPAGE"

to obtain the same effect as for the other links.

Maybe you have to do the named changes for all pages.

Yours sincerely

Ernest Lergon
