*opening

Saturday,
April 14 (6-9pm)
the
artist will be present

This exhibition
presents a comprehensive screening of major video works of Marina Grzinic
+ Aina Smid (artists and filmmakers from Ljubljana, Slovenia).
"SILENCE,
SILENCE, SILENCE" (2001) a large scale video projection, will be premiered
as part of the exhibition.
Video stills
from earlier works (1992-2000) will be presented as a continual series
of slide projections in the gallery space. Among the works presented
will be "Labyrinth" (1993), awarded at ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany World
Video Competition in 1993, "Luna 10" (1994) awarded at the San Francisco
International Film Festival, 1995); the work "On the Flies of The Market
Place" (1999) which received first prize at the Nuremberg Video Festival
in Germany (2000).
The
video works + the digital prints juxtapose images of intimacy, sex, mass
culture + history. The works present a powerful layering of fiction with
facts of brutal reality. The body is here presented as artificial matter,
a constant product of ritual + nothingness.

"We
find ourselves in all bodies + in all media, but this is not an innocent
act."

Hi Roger,

Liked the killer rabbits site but wish you'd put the mp3 there
also...mp3.com is really slow to access most of the time ( at least I find
it is). Will keep trying though. Enjoyed the rest of the Killer Rabbits site
anyway.

cheers,

Sol.

Chirot, so lovely as usual. Is spring as tardy there as here? This is the
exhausted time in this region, everything brown, looks like it will never grow
again. This time of year--before anything comes up--people used to starve, all the
animals depleted too, nothing growing yet. But there are the occasional signs: a
crocus or two, a snowdrop. In a couple weeks it'll be unrecognizable.

So I'm trying to get out on the lake more, where the blue doesn't diminish for
cold.

Lucky old Chaucer, to live in England's mild climate, where April really is spring
instead of the last hard tail end of harsh winter.

Of course Chaucer lived in pre-globally-warmed England.

Put it another way, we had snow on wednesday!!!

moment.

Hi,

I was wondering if I could have some help with my
Rudy Tutti Fruittis.

It seems that my Goofy Grapes are all aghast,
my Choo Choo Cherries are all chewed,
my Lefty and Pistol Pink Lemons don't pack a punch,
my Injun and Jolly Olly Oranges are injured,
my Rootin Tootin Raspberries just don't give a hoot,
my Freckle Face Strawberries can't look me in the eye,
my Loud Mouth Limes keep screaming at me
(and the Sir Reginald Lime Limes keep repeating
themselves!),
my With It Watermelons are not,
and
my Captain Black Cherries just fell off the boat.

Please help!

"Because," he
