FOPException:no protocol when executin driver.run()

2002-03-24 Thread susan atmaja

Hi,

I'm currently using fop 0.20.3
I tried to run the sample file given (embedding FOP in servlet), however I
got an expection when driver.run() command is called.

Below is the sample program that I used.

ByteArrayOutputStream out = new ByteArrayOutputStream();

response.setContentType(application/pdf);
Driver driver = new Driver(foFile, out);
driver.setLogger(log);
driver.setRenderer(Driver.RENDER_PDF);
driver.run();

The exception I got was FOPException, with the message: No protocol.

What is the cause of this exception? How to overcome this?
Please advise.

With Regards,
Susan

Hi Susan,

what files did you try to run? Could it be that you are using images?
If so you have to use URL syntax i.e.
file://path_to_the_location_of_your_image_file.

CVS branches

2002-03-24 Thread Michael Gratton

Guys,

Sorry to reshash what is probably an old and tired subject, but I've
gotten some conflicting advice as to what CVS branch is used for what.
If anyone could help fill in the blanks and correct the errors, I'd
appreciate it. 8)

MAIN - FOP redesign / new-design branch. This is where dev for for
the next main iteration of FOP is done.

HEAD - I assume v0.21 and latter versions will stem from this branch
at some stage, up until the work on the MAIN branch lands on the trunk.

fop-0_20_2-maintain - the v0.20.x maintanence branch. Further
releases in the v0.20.x series (and others?) are made from this branch.

Thanks,
Mike.

[OT] Virus warnings, was: Re: [PATCH] FopServlet WAR

2002-03-24 Thread Jeremias Maerki

I apologize in advance for being off-topic!

I received four virus warnings upon sending my patch last night. They
all had the following style:

Subject: Norton AntiVirus detected a virus in a message you sent. The inf ected
attachment was deleted.

Recipient of the infected attachment: anonymize was=recipient's name/
Subject of the message: [PATCH] FopServlet WAR
One or more attachments were deleted
  Attachment fopservlet.zip was Deleted for the following reasons:
Virus UNAUTHORIZED FILE was found.
Virus UNAUTHORIZED FILE was found.

That's pretty strange. I haven't sent a virus, have I?

Cheers,
Jeremias Märki
