[fossil-users] Jurassic gui 0.2.2 TEST

2010-10-27 Thread markovi...@inwind.it
Hi,
I have released a test version 0.2.2.

The most notable feature is the introduction of the DAG.
Please test it and let me know the issues you find!

This version should be considered unstable (not that 0.2.1 should be
considered stable, tough...) ;)

Enjoy!

[fossil-users] is it possible to tag or branch on a lim ited number of files?

2010-10-27 Thread Rene

I have done 4 cvs conversions and I have notice that tags (and for
that matter branches) in CVS can be set on a limited number of files. I
want to verify that in fossil it is not possible to tag or branch a
limited number of files. Say 4 out of 1000.
I'm not looking for this
feature in fossil, I think it is great if it doesn't allow it. As I said
I just want to verify that it is not possible in fossil.

Your conjecture is verified.

Fossil applies tags to an entire check-in, not to individual files.

Re: [fossil-users] Wiki articles versioning/merging support?

 Hi,
I'm a new user evaluating fossil for a small team usage. When using
fossil's wiki in a distributed manner (no autosync or no connection to
initial repo at all) - how does it handle wiki articles forks and
 their later merging ?

The underlying file format supports forking and merging of wiki pages. But
we do not have a user interface for that yet. As currently implemented, the
wiki page with the most recent timestamp is displayed, regardless of what
fork it is on. You can look at a history of edits and manually merge in
changes. But we do not (yet) have a button to press for merging wiki.
