Dear Foundation Members,

we have just sent the ballots to the registered email addresses of the

If you have not received your voting instructions, have a look on the
list of eligible voters on
http://foundation.gnome.org/membership/members.php and check the email
account that is associated with you. Also check the SPAM folder.

In case you are not on the list of eligible voters but think you should
be, write us an email (see below).

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask them at
membership-commit...@gnome.org or electi...@gnome.org

Happy Voting,

GNOME booth at LinuxTag 2011 - openSuSE DVDs

LinuxTag just finished and I wanted to follow up quickly. We had a great
booth, thanks to Canonical for the EventsBox 2.0, which we internally
bumped to 3.0 because we used it very successfully to show off the new
GNOME 3 bling.

Also many thanks to openSuSE for their Live DVDs. They were highly
appreciated and we could use them very efficiently to attract people and
start conversations.
If you happen to want a box of DVDs, contact me or Vincent. We'll
somehow arrange shipping.

I also want to thank all the helping people that built the booth, ran it
or tear it down.

Cheers,

We do have a GNOME booth at LinuxTag 2011, taking place from 2011-05-11
until 2011-05-14.

I think it makes sense to plan our booth in the Wiki:
https://live.gnome.org/GnomeEvents/LinuxTag

So if you happen to be around, please consider staying at the GNOME
booth, showing off the awesomeness of GNOME3 and the GNOME community
with the help of the GNOME EventBox, that we'll be getting \o/

Thanks,

Very right. I follow your arguments and FWIW: I usually have JavaScript
disabled, too.

I looked at the page source; the code is nontrivial, so the issue
 is nontrivial too.

Would you please put a free software license on that Javascript code

Dave, AFAIK does the JavaScript part come from you (not to blame you ;-)

Alternatively, can I email my vote to someone?

Hm. If we do not get that issue resolved quickly enough, feel free to

Re: New Foundation Members - Voting

2009-06-05 Thread Tobias Mueller

Hey Brad :)

First of all: welcome :)

Brad Taylor wrote:

[...] Would someone mind sending out voting instructions to us
new members?

Don't worry :) The Elections haven't started yet due to the scripts for
the new voting mechanisms, which have to be deployed and tested first.
The Membership Elections probably should announce a delay in the timeline.

I hope we'll resolve the issues soon.

Cheers,
  Tobi
