CP40 malfunction
Gents, I notice a strange malfunction that concerns some of my CP40FT type A modules. It consists in the following: * frequently some single CP modules are auto-rebooted. *sometimes some single CP modules are stopped. I reboot them manually. *It happened one time that a CP40FT both modules stopped and a total plant Shutdown occured It was reported to Foxboro, But they always asked to change the CP module! Recently CAR2000274 was defined. However no feedback yet. The type of system alarm messages I received last 4 months are the following: EHSS000141 Memory Parity Error - NMI Exception 6C024868 EHSS000141 Memory Parity Error - NMI Exception 6C078425 RAMDSS 03 COOP IOBUS Fail FBM I/O FAILURE. 6C073595 FTXSS 90 Modules failed to sync up prior to mem to mem 6C079819 EHSS000141 Memory Parity Error - NMI Exception 6C024868 FTXSS 80 Memory violation occured 6C073595 FTXSS 80 Memory violation occured 6C078463 Have someone experienced or resolved a similar malfunction? What is the root-cause of this? How can it be resolved? Is there a chance that another plant shutdown take place due to CP40FT Shutdown of both modules? RE: upload timeout errors
We have tried uploads with Foxwatch logged in monitoring processor and RAM usage and we have tried it with API shutdown and traffic minimized as much as possible. Occassionally we may get one or two stations to upload but never a complete upload. We have 5 CP40 pairs (4 A's and 1 B), an AB Station and two Modbus modules. We have upgraded our RAM on our host AW to 256 MB and our hard drives to 9 GB based on Foxboro's recommendations, all to no avail. I assume Foxboro is still working on the problem. We haven't really heard from them since the hard drive upgrade a few weeks ago. Chad Airhart Senior Instrument, Electrical Control Systems Engineer Equistar Chemicals, LP. Victoria, TX Wk. I know it varies with the Control Station type (CP-10/30/40/60, CmP-15/30, AW-I, microI/A, etc) If I was dealing with this issue, I would compare the performance across the stations while uploading and see if I could determine that. I also suspect that it is linked to the amount of broadcast traffic in the plant. This is harder to analyze without FoxWatch, but it should be examined. AW70 AKP
Hi all is anyone experienced with AKP on AW70 ??? I've one Plant with 70s Series running 6.2 with AKP configured which very (very !!) often freeze - stop calling displays, receiving alarms - and the only way to restore the functionality is to power-off/power-on. From CSC no trace of this problem - as i can see - so why not ask about it on Foxboro's GURU list ???
