How to get rid of the Console pod
Hi group FrameMaker 11 has a Console pod and a FrameMaker Console. The FrameMaker Console is a separate window, so that's OK. The Console pod, however, keeps reappearing each time I generate a FrameMaker book from a DITA map, and it does not really give me any relevant information. Does anyone how to get rid of this Console pod once and for all? Thanks. -- Yves Barbion www.scripto.nu ___ You are currently subscribed to framers as arch...@mail-archive.com. RE: How to get rid of the Console pod
What’s your “Show File Translation Errors” setting? I thought that controlled the appearance of the console. Re: How to get rid of the Console pod
Hi Jeff My Show File Translation Errors option was selected. I have now deselected it, restarted Fm and tried again, but it doesn't make any difference: the Console pod keeps reappearing. -- Yves Barbion www.scripto.nu ___ You are currently subscribed to framers as arch...@mail-archive.com. Re: How to get rid of the Console pod
Hi Yves... You may already know this .. but .. if you leave content in the pod, it'll keep reopening. Choose the Clear button and then close the pod, and it should stay away until more info is written to it. As far as I know there's no way to prevent it from opening when something is written to it. Yes .. annoying. (Maybe I should make a plugin to kill it?) ...scott On 3/21/14 7:31 AM, Yves Barbion wrote: Hi group FrameMaker 11 has a Console pod and a FrameMaker Console. Footnote numbering in sub-books problem
Dear Framers: I have two sub-books with 10 files each. No matter how I specify the document numbering option- footnote- start footnote with 1, the next generation of the primary book, the footnotes number consecutively. Where do I override this so that each chapter begins with footnote 1? TOC entry out of sequence
Hello Framers, Some time ago I wrote about a similar problem but didn't achieve a solution. It's happening again in a different TOC, so I thought I'd investigate more. The last document in my book, like all the others, has a chapter head and level 1 heads (four of them) that are picked up for a generated TOC. The chapter head and level 1 heads two through four all appear in correct sequence in the TOC. But the first level 1 head appears immediately above its chapter head, as if it is the last level 1 head in the previous chapter. Why does this happen and how can I correct it? In the document, the frame in which the misplaced level 1 head resides is not positioned above that of the chapter head. The errant head has the correct formatting. In the book TOC, all other level 1 heads appear in their correct sequence. There is no hidden overlapping frame AFAIK... I've already cleaned up the files to remove that sort of thing. Thanks for any insight. Karen Robbins Frame 11.0.1.382, Windows 7 VM in Parallels ___ You are currently subscribed to framers as arch...@mail-archive.com.
