I have found that the iFeel Mouse does indeed work with an OHCI controller but not with a UHCI controller. I have only got one mainbord with an OHCI controller so I cannot generalise this. Jos The iFeel being talked about here is the 0x46d(Logitech) 0xc032(iFeel ...)? I've been playing with this mouse for a while and I've found that it doesn't work with two of the VIA south-bridges which i've owned. Does work with a Genuine Intel southbridge(IBM laptop). and does work with a generic OHCI controller. Three Free Psychology/Self-Improvement Software Downloads
.html was listed for voting. The basic principle is that by using your brain, you can increase your mental fitness by exersing it, just as you do physical muscles. Mind Media's IQ Builder and thinkFast software featured on brain.com work along these principles. They both give you a variety of mental tests, which focus on a spectrum of mental abilities. By increasing the difficulty over trials, you build mental muscle. Now thinkFast has become an online application and added features, which take the idea of mental fitness workouts further. ThinkFast is the perfect mind-mini gym and allows you to measure and save your improvements online. It works you out on a wide variety of mental skills. The program even includes your own Personal Tutor who coaches you to greater mental heights. 3.http://www.goalpro.com/index.cfm?ID=50571 I've written a lot in June and July about GoalPro - which I consider one of the most helpful software programs I've used to help me organize for success. I'm featuring it here again because you've got to look around the site to find that in addition to the software version, there's an online version of GoalPro you can purchase as a subscription which allows anyone including Mac and Linux users to use this significant program. Here's what I wrote in June: The people who publish GoalPro 5.0 calls it The most effective success management application available and the funny thing is - - they may be right! GoalPro software in tandem with Microsoft Outlook is the combo that I use. But you don't have to use GoalPro on a PC. The people at GoalPro have kept up with the state-of-the- art and are offering GoalPro with most of its features intact as an online application. So Macintosh and Linux users as well as anyone who has access to the web can begin using GoalPro right now. What does the program do? Well it's hard to describe all of what it does briefly and so next month this publication will have a feature length review of GoalPro. In short, it guides you through the process of listing and clarifying your most important life objectives. You list a set of concrete goals to reach each of these objectives and also create short term tasks for reaching the objectives and goals. The program not only helps you create your success tree of objectives, goals and tasks, it sets up a regular daily and separate weekend routine where you visit these lists and determine how you are doing. This is called Success Coach and it's pretty darn useful. There's even a past-due management system where people who set too many tasks or procrastinate can evaluate and reschedule missed deadlines. Download a free thirty-day trial - - you might want to keep using it -- I did. 4. http://www.timecontrol.cc Panella Strategies: Success-Centered Time Management Power and Power Marketing Principles is not an exactly an online application but I put it here because it relies on the multimedia capabilities of the web to deliver an extensive library of time management principles developed by Vince Panella. During the past 18 years, his profit and time-building programs have influenced thousands of companies and tens of thousands of people in 25 countries around the world. The application- like section is called the Time Control Room and it has series of modules which take several days to learn (Panella finds that most people who take other time management courses don't learn anything because they are presented two quickly so they are forgotten just as quickly. Real Audio lectures by Vince Panella are supplemented by written materials available for download and the program together works very well. I think I should be passing a pointer to the buffer, not a pointer to a pointer. There's no crsbuf in line 484 (not in rev 1.10, nor 1.11). Assuming you're talking about the one in line 478, it doesn't compile if you change it to crsbuf from crsbuf, since crsbuf is an ACPI_BUFFER, not an (ACPI_BUFFER *). Um. Sorry about the line numbers, and yes, sorry about the confusion there; I just looked at it and it seemed wrong. I'd still like to know the allocation length for that buffer though; my last suspicion is that it doesn't contain any resources at all, and so we're overrunning it when we go to try to stuff an interrupt resource into it. If that's the case, it's easy to fix. If not, then we will have to go hunting snarks. Mike, Seems like I managed to solve my problem. Attached is to be applied against sys/dev/acpica/acpi_pcib.c, rev 1.10 . First of all, the list returned in crsbuf was terminated with an element with its Length field equal to zero (and Id field was ACPI_RSTYPE_IRQ). Since AcpiRsCalculateByteStreamLength() expects ACPI_RSTYPE_END_TAG as terminator and doesn't check the validity of Length field (or, in other words, this function doesn't treat it as terminator), the function never returned. And as you suggested, AcpiGetCurrentResources() returned an IRQ resource with no interrupts(NumberOfInterrupts = 0, and no room for Data.Irq.Interrupts[0]). Thus the line 476 in acpi_pcib.c was overwriting the Id field in the next element. The patch tries to allocate another buffer to resize the list, and to modify the last element's Id to ACPI_RSTYPE_END_TAG. I think AcpiRsCalculateByteStreamLength() should just exit the while loop when it found an element with Length = 0, rather than wait for the end tag forever. Thanks. faster worlds...
I read something (somewhere) about speeding up buildworlds with a ramdisk mounted to /usr/obj *IF* you have a lot of RAM but I cant seem to find it anymore. Any help? What are you guys doing to speed up your worlds? Are people still passing -j# option to make or is that old school now? Passing -j4 to my dual p3-500 didn't speed up buildworld at all but it speed up the kernel build/install plenty. Unfortunately it broke the installworld so I just did the installworld without the -j4 and it was fine. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Leif Neland Sent: Monday, February 19, 2001 8:55 AM Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Do we need a 3. level between stable and cuurent? We all know: -current is bleeding edge, expect it to break at random. Don't run it if you don't know how to fix it. -stable is for production, it works all the time. -RELEASE, I thought, is for production. Although, it's true, -STABLE rarely has a stop. Do we need a level in between for people who just run current for the fun of it and for testing. So after the hardcore has tested it in -current, they commit it to all the monkeys trying to break it, and we then try it on n^m' combinations of hardware/software. Actually, I've always thought that's what -STABLE is for? I might not be able to fix a problem, but I can report what happens, and if my -current breaks for a few days, it is no big deal. While -current is not for everybody, I believe people like me helps in quality testing before the stuff hits -stable. Actually, I've always thought that's what -STABLE is for? Deja-vu :) Perhaps not a level, just a separate file, which contained the date of the last known version without known major problems. (or "." if no known problems) I think the current HEADS UP given on here is sufficient warning to determine if a make world will build or if there are stops. I stand corrected... -Original Message- From: Dermot McNally [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, February 19, 2001 9:23 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: freebsd-current@FreeBSD. Nope, -STABLE is for production, -RELEASE is for installing immediately prior to upgrading it to -STABLE. X.X-STABLE = X.X-RELEASE + fixes + carefully selected stuff that has been well tested in -CURRENT.
