hi dear mr or mrs
i have freebsd-5.0 in my computer.i install
imap-2002e.tar.Z in my machine.
then add this statement in /etc/inetd.conf : IMAP 
stream tcp nowait root 
/usr/local/etc/imapd  imapd. i would see this working
properly then use telnet localhost 143
i havent seen any problem. but when i would connect
with outlook express to freebsd machine,
i countered with this message: configuration:
   Account: mahjoob.com
   Server: mahjoob.com
   User name: joe
   Protocol: IMAP
   Port: 143
   Secure(SSL): 0
   Code: 800ccc03
please guide me

hi dear mr or mrs
i have freebsd-5.0 in my computer.i install
qpopper-4.0.5 in my machine. then check with
telnet localhost 110 then install openssl-0.9.7d with
stunnel-3.26.
i use this command   stunnel -d 995 -p
/usr/local/ssl/certs/stunnel.pem -r localhost:pop3.
when i want connect with outlook express,i recive this
message in bash(freebsd mashine):
SSL_read (SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL): connection reset by peer

hi dear mr or mrs
i have freebsd5.0-current version in my machine.i hvae
two problem.
1-i installed qpopper & add this in /etc/inetd.conf :
pop3 stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/libexec/qpopper
qpopper -s.then use this command 
killall -HUP inetd.
when i want to telnet to (telnet localhost 110)local
machine i see this message:/usr/libexec
ld-elf.so.1: shared object "libc.so.4" not found.

2-i reboot my computer then enter my username &
password(notice:with root account)
i recive this message login: /bin/csh: permission
denied
but when login with a user that member wheel
group(joe),i havent any problem.

please guide me

i have dedicated server on internet(linux server) &
i have full access to this and i have freebsd 5.1
i want freebsd computer scheduleally connect to 
this server & get many of the file that exist
in this such ftp path : ftp://servername/pub(this ftp
path is example)
by using cron.
please guide me about this

hi 

Dear Mr or Mrs

i installed Macafree antivirus on freebsd 4.4 .

whenever i want runing uvscan two actions occured.

1-/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1 shared object "libc.so.3" not found

i resolve this problem with soft link : ln -s /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1 libc.so.3

2-after resolve this problem i show this message :

/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: uvscan: undifined symbol "strncat"

please guide me that how can resolve this problem.

my name is siavash mahjoob 
i using samba 2.0.10 at freebsd 4.4
i login wth root password.
i configure smb.conf at /usr/local/etc/smb.conf, then
using smbpasswd for create password 
for a user that created my me(admin)
when we want to login to /home from windows 2000
server a logon screen open that have two option
connect as & 
password. i write \\s1\home & password(admin
password:root). then i recive this message
\\s1\home is not accessible, the specified username is
invalid.
my smbpasswd file is in /usr/local/bin/smbpasswd.
i think this problem related to make_smbpasswd or
convert_smbpasswd at /usr/local/bin.
please guide me
the samba configuration file attached with this mail.
