Hi,

In my case it worked as a normal Ethernet CDC device using the

the short time I used it.

Please cc me, I am not subscribed.

HTH,

This is cool, I have dodocool around which I wasn't use much more than
for a usb SWITCH, but I have an Acer Laptop with wireless only, and I
didn't know I could use ue driver for this (I never really tried but its
sure nice to know).

The only issue I find is that it seems to topspeed a bit higher then
100Mbps

Client connecting to yoda, TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 32.5 KByte (default)

[ 3] local 1.1.1.1 port 24383 connected with 1.1.1.2 port 5001
[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth
[ 3] 0.0-10.0 sec 143 MBytes 120 Mbits/sec

Client connecting to yoda, TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 1.00 MByte (WARNING: requested 1.00 MByte)

[ 3] local 1.1.1.1 port 24424 connected with 1.1.1.2 port 5001
[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth
[ 3] 0.0-10.0 sec 135 MBytes 114 Mbits/sec

I'm assuming this is just because ue is not ready to handle more then that,
but it would be nice if it could go close to the 1Gbits.

Not something I would consider priority though as this devices are probably
only used as a alternative to main cards, and its far better than what I
got with USB Wireless cards do the the fact that there's no 11n support on
those,, so I'm happy with this.

Many thanks for sharing the 'usbconfig -d ugenX.Y set_config 1' trick.

 Hi,

I think this piece of hardware is currently not supported. You can try
grepping for the USB vendor ID and USB product IDs in /sys/dev/usb/usbdevs .

I have the module loaded yes, but it seems the key was changing to Mac

Thanks

As for dhcp I don't mind using dhclient manually or if a static IP

Also if it is of any interest I was able to compile Sachesi on FreeBSD 10
(amd64) see: https://github.com/xsacha/Sachesi there's a issue about
FreeBSD I've posted. For now the bootloader code still doesn't work but
xsacha is working on it!

What Alex is suggesting is that you need to insert a card and then boot
the system and hope that the reader is recognized.

Alex guess was right, I do see a new entry in usbconfig now:

 ugen1.3: USB2.0-CRW Generic at usbus1, cfg=255 md=HOST spd=HIGH
 (480Mbps) pwr=ON (500mA)

I still can't access the card, and nothing shows up in demesg, tried
 plug/unplug no luck

Some research on USB2.0-CRW in the mailling list lead me to this:
 http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-usb/2012-May/011230.html

So I should add to /usr/src/sys/dev/usb/usbdevs the line

 product REALTEK USB20CRW0x0129USB20CRW Card Reader

Actually there's one line for this already with a different product code,
which matches the one in the referred post... so I added it with
USB20CRW_0129.

recompiling...

 correct?

However I have no idea what quirk changes should I apply, or how to
 find more info about it.

 Thanks!

 now use usb drivers!

  Description:

This is an Ultrabook (acer s3) with only one USB 3.0 Controller (2-ports)

I first noticed that I could not install 10-current using the memstick
images, I got stuck at mount root, after upgrading form 9.1 using base and
kernel tarballs I noticed that the system has no longer detecting my
  memsticks.

When connecting usb devices (memstick, hdd) I get:

  xhci_do_comand: Command timeout!
  usb_alloc_device: device init 2 failed (USB_ERR_TIMEOUT, ignored)
  usbgen0.2: Unknown at usbus0 (disconnected)
usb_reattach_port: could not allocate new device

  More info about the controller:
xhci0: Intel Panther Point USB 3.0 controller mem 0xc050-0xc050
  at device 20.0 on pci0

And has I explained in the mailling list, I already tried:

  sysctl hw.xhci.xhci_port_route=-1 (and =1) in /boot/loader.conf
(and in sysctl.conf but I guess the first one is the proper way

  rebooted, and still no luck.

  How-To-Repeat:

1: Download a memstick image and dd to a usb, after boot you get stuck at
  mountroot prompt.

2: If you're able to install 10-0 current any other way, just connect a
USB memstick to 3.0 controller, and you'll see the problem (unless if this
is related to my controller specifically - Intel Panther Point USB 3.0)

  Fix:

Tried: sysctl hw.xhci.xhci_port_route=-1 - DID NOT work!

  Hi,

Can you patch the kernel using the attached patch? It will fake interrupts.
  Does the XHCI work now?

 Hi,

This patch does fix the issue (tested with different memsticks), I can
 now use usb drivers!

I do see this at boot:
 ugen1.2: vendor 0x8087 at usbus1
 uhub4: vendor 0x8087 product 0x0024, class 9/0, rev 2.00/0.00, addr
 2 on usbus1
uhub4: 6 ports with 6 removable, self powered
uhub3: 8 ports with 8 removable, self powered
 ugen1.3: Generic at usbus1
usbd_setup_device_desc: getting device descriptor at addr 1 failed,
 USB_ERR_TIMEOUT
usbd_setup_device_desc: getting device descriptor at addr 1 failed,
 USB_ERR_TIMEOUT
usbd_setup_device_desc: getting device descriptor at addr 1 failed,
 USB_ERR_TIMEOUT
usbd_setup_device_desc: getting device descriptor at addr 1 failed,
 USB_ERR_TIMEOUT
usbd_setup_device_desc: getting device descriptor at addr 1 failed,
 USB_ERR_TIMEOUT
 ugen0.2: Unknown at usbus0 (disconnected)
uhub_reattach_port: could not allocate new device

I guess its not related to the xhci problem, but another usb
device but It tough I should mentioned it...

 Thanks

  2013 r...@snap.freebsd.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64
