Follow-up Comment #2:

Closing this item as invalid because the savegame doesn't fit the ruleset.
Maybe due to bug #15264.

[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #15142] crash after 100+ moves

2010-01-23 Thread pepeto

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #15142 (project freeciv):

The attached savegames doesn't fit the granted ruleset. You probably have
modified it after the first part of the game. In consequence, there are lot
of random issues...

 Summary: crash after 100+ moves
 Project: Freeciv

Category: general
Severity: 4 - Important
Priority: 5 - Normal
  Status: None

Originator Email:
 Open/Closed: Open
 Release: 2.2 beta1
 Discussion Lock: Any
Operating System: Microsoft Windows
 Planned Release:

Details:

Seems that 2.2 crashes at some rather random point. I've created ruleset that
prevents most units from moving on mountains (warriors, workers to make roads
that other units then can cross mountains, explorers... triremes and some
other naval units can go on rivers.)
Crash does not depend on the move, but does not easily happen in early
stages. Amount of AI players may have some effect, so that less players ->
more moves.
When I got a crash on latest game, I edited the situation by removing some
nations, and got a move or two further until the game crashed again... so it
might depend on what an AI player is doing.
I've attached one game and my special ruleset in a zip file if somebody is
interested enough to study this.
environment is windows vista (home basic) and the build is 2.2.0-beta1
