is there anyone who did develop the desktop2 program (by F. Ritter?) I didn't :-( Please post shot, license, download link or something useful ;-) The most stable GUI depends on what you need. If you are wanting to run Windows applications, 16 bit ones that is, you are somewhat out of luck No Win16 emulation in HX ... fortunately there exist barely any useful apps for this hack ... so if you see any just port them ;-) PS: Win16 DOS-GUI PPS: Win16 != DOS-GUI (for C geeks) Alternative OS'es to Freedos: menuetOS XXX-64 only :-( Syllable Visopsys ... ReactOS (WARNING: development is slow.
