[FRIAM] Kindle Books error

2013-06-15 Thread Gillian Densmore
Greetings,
Family sent a kindle book gift for my birthday- deciding to claim it, I got
a error saying the it's not available in the US
Seems odd for book on math- wich I'm getting into- (thanks dad you are
evil).

Any ideas for a work around to this?

Re: [FRIAM] the samsung galaxy s4.

2013-06-15 Thread Jochen Fromm
I plan to replace my S2 with an S4 in the next weeks. For my S2 I have a
4GB SD card to store pictures and short films, and an additional battery
(from an original Samsung "Extended Battery Kit"). It is always useful
to have an additional battery for modern smartphones - the iPhone
usually needs to charged every night as well. To reduce energy usage it
helps to switch of Wifi and GPS if you do not need it, to close all
active apps, and to reduce the display brightness.

So yeah- steeling the american football theme liberally:
It's got a kick arse O-line in terms of what counts for me- and is
looking to be a super bowl contender.

Based on my usage from one day- mine needs to live on a stationary
bike though so it can it can get it's endurance up.
Short of that: Anyone have experience extended batteries and can
recomend a man-you-facture?
There's some contenders on that big-box-store that starts with an A-
on the leaderbord of those seems to be zerolemmons offering.

Feedback wanted.

Re: [FRIAM] pyrocumulus

2013-06-15 Thread Roger Critchlow
Hi Merle --

The bottom line on the news last night is that we're 300,000 acres behind
last year's tally with a measly 57,000 acres of fires, and the signs are
that the fire season will close early. There are three fires that have
been visible from Santa Fe -- Tres Lagunas to the east and Thompson Ridge
to the west have been active for more than two weeks. The Jaroso fire only
started this week to the northeast and prompted the pyrocumulus discussion.
The Thompson Ridge fire sent us smoke one evening, but aside from that
it's been easy breathing here in Santa Fe.

Hope you're enjoying Bhutan,

Hi, Merle,

Many, although neither Santa Fe nor Los Alamos seems to be at risk at the
moment. To keep current go to www.inciweb.org . I am in Massachusetts at the
moment, so details will have to come from others. N
