The case eventually cracks where the lid indentations close down on the keyboard. This is well documented and doesn't affect it's operation, but you should be aware of it. :0) On Mar 16, 2009, at 10:56 pm, Dennis Myhand wrote: Well, the tax refund is here and my wife just asked if we could get her a white Mac Book. Re: White MacBook Purchase?
Maybe, but it doesn't have the sharp edges the aluminum unibody MacBook has, and you could buy the low end stock model for $999 to accomplish what she wants to do with it. I would probably have Apple put in the extra 2GB RAM, or do it myself, and get a bigger hard drive than 120 GB. --- On Mon, 3/16/09, MacGuy macgu...@gmail.com wrote: From: MacGuy macgu...@gmail.com Subject: Re: White MacBook Purchase? Re: White MacBook Purchase?
The cases definitely were not built to last. A plastic piece just broke off my teacher's macbook. The palm rests show allot of wear. They definitely are inexpensive. If you get an earlier model you can get them for like $500. I would almost go for a later powerbook.-Jonas On Mon, Mar 16, 2009 at 7:51 PM, Mike Baker psufa...@yahoo.com wrote: Maybe, but it doesn't have the sharp edges the aluminum unibody MacBook has, and you could buy the low end stock model for $999 to accomplish what she wants to do with it.
