Re: [Audyssey] Jim's reaction game
Hi Jim. if that's how it is supposed to work I'm sorry to report the colour change isn't working correctly in sequence with the tones. When you start the backdrop is red, but then when the first tone starts it goes green. It then remains green for many subsequent tones, unless you completely miss a tone by pressing too early, then it goes a sort of dark yellowey brown, but flicks back to green again the next time a low tone sounds. Sorry to report this, but I do rather think it's a bug with the coloured backdrop for the game. Now that I know it is! the backdrop, which is one thing my site will work on, I can be sure of what's happening there. Beware the Grue! Now when it changes to the high tone, the background color changes to green. You could try not pressing the space bar and checking out the color. Of course this will screw up your average for this play, but you may then be able to see the color change. But then again the color change from yellow to green may not be significant enough to be a good visual game. [Audyssey] Castaways: Message Pile-up
Hi. I'm trying a different strategy this time when I'm playing Mission Three of Castaways. I have more than a hundred people and I suspect this is the cause of my problem. Often times, a persons status-mother or worker or ailing verses healthy-is different than recent messages would indicate. I also don't get messages other players send to me for a long time. Is there a way to fix this or to go to the end of all of my messages? I have the game speed set to Blazing and that doesn't fix the problem. Thanks for any help. Re: [Audyssey] Rock Band 3: Mozart's Rondo Alla Turka expert prokeys
gees... glad you enjoyed it! hahaha. I saw something much worse than Mozart in a video game in fact. It was Chopin's 99 greatest hits for about a dollar. on Amazon no less. ouch... back to the rock band thing though. what I really find annoying is the fact that the keyboard has absolutely no audio output. makes things quite difficult to learn. course I could always go back and forth between my actual acoustic piano in the living room and the ps3 in my room and actually learn the song that way, but I really don't feel like going through all that simply to learn a song in rock band lol. oh and there's also the fact that keys aren't weighted. taking all that into consideration, I think I did quite well. hehehe. btw, speaking of Chopin, the guy that charted this song stated they'd love to see Chopin's Fantasie impromptu in rock band. don't you worry though, I shall also record that one for your listening pleasure. if you thought this one was badly played you've no idea what you'll be experiencing if that song ever comes out. your ears shall eternally bleed. haha - Original Message - From: Scott Chesworth scottcheswo...@gmail.com To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Thursday, September 08, 2011 7:42 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Rock Band 3: Mozart's Rondo Alla Turka expert prokeys Bwahahaha! Re: [Audyssey] Jim's reaction game
Actually Dark, I just loaded up the reaction game again to double check, and from what I'm seeing it is working exactly as he stated. The color begins as red, changes to a brownish green when the tone raises, and finally ends with green at the highest tone. If the colors aren't behaving the same for you, I wonder if it is due to some system specific code somewhere. Hi Jim. if that's how it is supposed to work I'm sorry to report the colour change isn't working correctly in sequence with the tones. Re: [Audyssey] Castaways: Message Pile-up
When multiple messages are generated on a single tick, you are presented with the first one and the next is put on a back log list which will be picked from on the next tick. To give an example, if on the exact same tick you had 10 people die, it will require the game to run for at least 10 ticks before you finally see the last death message. I say at least, because other messages could also have been piling up before the people died to begin with. When you have such a monstrous population, there is going to be a huge back log of messages since there are so many people doing things. One solution is to disable as many message types as you can do without, and the other solution is to pause the game often and press the guave/tilde (~) key to pull the next back logged message out to be read. Re: [Audyssey] castaways suggestion
Hmmm, That's what I get for not reading the readme for the last 10 versions.
