HI Angel,

When you extract the files, they should be all in 1 folder. The game runs
from that folder, no installation necessary. the only thing you might have
to do is register some files if you are running vista or windows 7. If
this

is the case, please read the readme.txt file to register those necessary
files.

In that directory is a swamp.exe file. Hit enter on it and enter your user
name, password, and agree to the user agreement. Hit enter on multiplayer
and see if it runs. If so, it will say connected and this day is sponsored
by some person.

Couple of Things to note:

1. When the game starts, it will be set to use sapi for your tts. You can
change this if you wish.

2. After the game starts, it will create three more files in that
directory,
progress.ini, keyconfig.ini, and chatlog.txt. the progress file is to
store

your stats and settings. The keyconfig.ini file is for your keyboard
settings. you can modify this as you wish to suit your needs. And the chat
log is a text file of your chat messages. Messages sent by you and any
other

person are stored here for future use if necessary.

3. Please read the changelog.txt file. it will give you some helpful
hints.

4. Remember to use custom maps if you need to explore or try some things.
This way you can experiment with out getting killed and loosing all your
stuff.

5. have fun. And remember to ask for help if necessary. Most people there
are glad to help newbee's.

Good luck.

Re: [Audyssey] Refresh my memory please, which client works best with Alter Aeon and Window Eyes

2012-11-07 Thread dark

Hi kieth.

usually for any mud I'd recommend vipmuud for gma games, however alteraeon
is the exception because of the amazing soundpack that Oriol gomez has made
that turns alteraeon into virtually a full audio rpg.

the current homepage of the mushclient pack is http://www.mush-z.com/

Just download the mush z inosetup and you'll be good to go (it already has
all the plugins and such).

It certainly works with jaws, window eyes and several other readers
including sapi, but you might need to hit ctrl shift p to bring up the
plugins dialogue and select the window eyes one if it doesn't detect you've
got window eyes running at start.

Re: [Audyssey] Major MMO opportunity?

2012-11-07 Thread dark

Hi Ian.

I would be extremely interested in access improvements to eeve, however I
thought that the game was a full 3D world similar to world of warcraft with
the obvious difference in setting, and thus just as difficult from an access
perspective requiring something of a major redesign of the entire interface
and possibly even changes to the gameplay mechanics in terms of speed and
quick informational overview.

If the game could! be made accessible I'd be the first person interested,
sinse exploration and quests are my forte in any genre of game.

has there been any word from the developers on access matters? what is the
interface like and how could it be modified? sinse usually the major
companies considder blind access as not financially viable. some more
information would be appreciated both about the game, the state of access
and the attitudes of it's developers.

if however it was! possible it would indeed be fantastic, both for everyone
who could play, and indeed as a general access point.

Beware the grue!

[Audyssey] swamp, recording delayed, possibly canceled

2012-11-07 Thread john
The subject of this probably drops a few hints, but the long and
short of it is that I got careless while hunting for weapons, so
I'm back to square zero. Unfortunately, this means that the
recording is going to be delayed quite a while; I've got to run
back all the weapons and enough fuel for the planned missions.
I'm also nearly penniless for rep, so I'm going to need to amass
a decent amount of that so I don't randomly run out of ammo.
Depending on when I get all the weapons back, I'm not sure how
feezable a recording like this will be, nor am I sure I'm going
to have the motivation to do it.

P.S:
Apologies if this is a near duplicate message, I'm not sure what
happened to my last one.

Re: [Audyssey] I have a question about swamp.

2012-11-07 Thread Richard Sherman
Hi Angel,

You need to extract all the files from the zipped file. Then the game will
use the swamp.exe file to launch the game. The nice thing is that it runs
solely from that directory. So you can put it anywhere on your system you
like. Also, if you don't like the sounds, you can always modify them as you
desire.

For anyone who wants to follow the thread on audiogames.net, the URL for
swamp is

http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?id=6341p=225

This brings you to the last page of it. You can always change the last few

Good luck.

If you want a free client, mush z, although it's being annoying lately. I
reinstalled it a few days ago because I'd been having a problem with logging

and not being a valid path, although clicking on ok makes it go away and you

If you wanted to pay like #40 I think it is though, you could use VIP mud.

2012-11-07 Thread Shannon Dyer
It's actually very accessible. Voiceover reads everything. The game can be a
bit tricky, but it's not due to lack of accessibility.

I can sympathize with that one. Luckily for me, we've got a

Hi Angel,

You need to extract all the files from the zipped file. Then the game will
use the swamp.exe file to launch the game. The nice thing is that it runs
solely from that directory. So you can put it anywhere on your system you
like. Also, if you don't like the sounds, you can always modify them as
you

desire.

For anyone who wants to follow the thread on audiogames.net, the URL for
swamp is

http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?id=6341p=225

This brings you to the last page of it. You can always change the last few
numbers to bring you to any page.

Good luck.

How does this look? Feasible / of interest? In case you haven't heard of
it

EVE is a popular MMO, think World of Warcraft in space.
