[Audyssey] Hatsuuri combat

2013-01-26 Thread Clement Chou
Hey folks. Here's another game that's quite interesting, another Japanese
one... I will post the download link later. But for now, here's a quick demo of
the game. Very addicting arcade fun, and a bit of a new twist on the beat em up
where audio games are concerned.

Re: [Audyssey] NVDA Instant Translate

2013-01-26 Thread Clement Chou
If you go into bk 2, under the screen reader setting where the nvda and
sapi options are, the top is clipboard. Just click it... and you'll get no
speech. As to your locale, that's in your changing keyboards and input
methods. I don't remember exact steps. Locale doesn't change your whole
system... only the non-unicode programs.

Yes, BK 2 outputs to the clipboard if this is set in the options. Under
windows 7 you can just install the japanese keyboard and the microsoft IME
when you go to control panel. After that set your keyboard to japanese,
which won't do anything to your system. But the game will translate now. In
the game, press NVDA+shift+y to hear the translated text in the clipboard.

The problem with using SAPI, is that you can't control the speech
output. In the sense that wallets talking, and it has information in the
buffer, you cannot silence it. You must wait for it to finish speaking.
This is not very good for mudding, as there is too much information

How do you make VIP MUD and NVDA cooperate? I don't own JAWS, or any
screenreader except, and NVDA keeps repeating everything I type when I
press enter. I don't want that happening.

2013-01-26 Thread Ben
In fact, Ryan, you're wrong there. Don't know who developed it, but there
is such a game. Raul reviewed it a long time back. Have a look on his
sight, or I have the podcast if you want it.

Hi Haryi,
I haven't heard of any beep beep game, though it's possible you're thinking
of HearStrike. Beeping is the only sound that game makes. *grin* If this
isn't it, and if you have any other clues, feel free to write back, and I'm
sure the community can brainstorm up a solution.
Best,
Ryan

Re: [Audyssey] I'm looking for games that I can play on my nokia phone

2013-01-26 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Nicol,

Honestly Symbian is a poor choice if you want games. the only
accessible game I personally am aware of is my Blackjack game written
in Python which requires the Python runtime for Symbian OS, and even
then the game should be updated for phones since it was mainly written
for Windows, Linux, and Mac PCs rather than phones. Other than that I
can't think of much for Symbian that is accessible to play.
