Hi Lindsay, Well, for starts if you have not already done so set your audio navigator to partial or full. that way your EVA will describe exits, corridors, etc as you pass them. Its possible you have your audio navigator turned off and are missing some exits, passages, etc. Second, get use to using your v key. That will give you your map coordinates like (5, 15) which will allow you to form an image of the map in your head. If you know that an intersection is at (5, 15) and you are at (5, 5) the logical thing to do to get back to that intersection is go east to get back to those coordinates. Finally, in case you aren't good at mapping things in your head as I do you can lay markers with control+v at major intersections so you can find it again without having to remember the specific coordinates. Hi Lisa, You didn't specify which version of the Charlotte's Web video game you were asking about but I'll assume you meant the PC version by THQ and Sega. Based on my limited experience with the game it is not accessible at all. Besides that the game doesn't really follow the book/movie all that closely and is a bit silly from a purest point of view. Basically, you play as Wilbur going around collecting Charlotte's eggs which are scattered around the levels for reasons that are never explained. A long the way there are side quests/adventures where you can gather apples for a woman, collect tickets for the state fair, and so on. None of this is remotely accessible from a blind gamers point of view. Probably the most difficult part of the game for a blind gamer is being able to jump onto platforms and things like that. Hi everyone, sorry this is off-topic and not to do with gaming, but I’m having an issue with windows live hotmail, where it’s not letting me view my contacts list to delete old email addresses. I’m using windows live mail, but the actual program,not the website, and I’ve been through the menus but can’t find anything about a contacts list. Hi Lisa, Well, if you get an accessible Apple II emulator you can probably play the old trivia game Bryan is speaking of. I never played it myself so don't know anything about it other than if you want to play the trivia game on a PC you'll need an Apple emulator. Hi Bryan, Interesting. A lot of those old Apple II games were just written in Apple Basic and were text based games. So I'm rather surprised it didn't work with the Echo. There should be a way to make it accessible unless they used graphical text rather than text which typically was not done in the 80's. Cheers! Even the trivia games on braillebug.com are better with the blind (and there is a Charlotte-related one on there), but they are slightly visual. If you listen to the names of the graphics as JAWS says them, you'll eventually decode it.
