Re: [Audyssey] The Three Monkeys Kickstarter Campaign
I very much wish them well and hope that the funding for development is found. I downloaded the prototype and looks good thus far. Though honestly can anyone tell me what I should be doing in the beginning? I just seem to walk forward for ever without anything changing. The pdf was a tad vague on things. TIA Ron On 12-Mar-2015 7:20 AM, Phil Vlasak wrote: Hi Folks, Into the Abyss - The Three Monkeys Kickstarter Campaign is almost over. Sadly, it doesn't look like the Three Monkeys Kickstarter is going to be a success. It was always a risk pushing things down this route, and - despite some fantastic support from you all - it looks like we're going to fall quite a bit short of our target. Our KS target was higher than we initially hoped when launching this campaign, but it's what we realistically needed to do the project justice and unlock other avenues of funding; we didn't see the point of asking for less, and not bringing the game to life to the quality we'd intended. Asking for too little has been a failure on the behalf of many high profile Kickstarter campaigns, and we didn't want to put ourselves in that boat. This hopefully isn't the end for Three Monkeys, however. We'll be going back to the drawing board and exploring other avenues of funding, and will keep pushing to make this audio RPG a reality. We know many of you are crying out for a game like this, and we'd dearly love to see it made. We're aware it's a niche - which is perhaps why we didn't hit our funding goal - but we'd love to see Three Monkeys plug a gap in the audio game market, and push the boundaries of what can be achieved in a game with no visuals. To everybody that has backed the campaign, shared, commented or simply taken the time to check it out - thank you. You'll hear more from us soon. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Dark, I don’t remember this tutorial from Trivia Crack, and it has been a long time. However, the game itself is much more useable. In the meantime, might I suggest using your finger to explore the screen, instead of flicking? In particular, sometimes close buttons and so forth are near the upper left. Also, for long term play, I highly recommend the ad free version. It is much more pleasant to use. All the best, Zack. On Mar 12, 2015, at 9:22 AM, dark d...@xgam.org wrote: Hello. Hi Zack. Well the moral seems to be, sod the tutorial! :D. once I had got past that screen of doom and just started playing things seemed fine, indeed the problems reported on applevis with some of the buttons like the continue button after each question don't seem to occur. the only thing I've not quite got as yet is when choosing a crown how to determine which ones I already have and how to decide which one to play for, I've also not really dont challenges either though I might end up having to do so at point given that certain categories I'm very okay with, others less so :d. Re: [Audyssey] trivia crack trouble
In the actual game the procedure goes this way: spin, then press the play button near the bottom of the screen. When you answer three questions correctly, you'll get a chance at a character. There is a distinctive audio cue for this and many other options in the game. Double-tap the character you want and press play. At random, the spins will land you on a character. When you get this option in either case, you have to pick whether to answer a single question or play a six-question challenge that both you and your oppoent must answer. Your opponent can steal your characters, and you can steal theirs. You have to choose which character you don't mind losing and which one you want to steal. If you get a wrong answer, you have to swipe up with two fingers immediately in order to hear the question and the answer you selected, plus the correct answer. This is not a game created expressly for the visually impaired. It is reasonably accessible the way it is, but not perfect. This is the downside of buying off-the-shelf games for mobile devices, or going to websites to play games. Hi Zack. That makes sense. One thing I was wondering is how multiple games work, sinse right now I have three games going and I'm waiting for my opponents to continue, and yet one of the extras in the shop talks about multiple lives which I assume are multiple games running simultaniously. Hi dark, You can also add people by searching for them. I don't use facebook and created my account using my email address. My username is appleman310874 if you wish to play against me. Oh, I forgot to mention that you need six characters to win, one of each category. It's simily to Trivial Pursuit, if you've played that before. You can get up to three characters per turn. When I pick a character to lose, it's usually one from a category I do well in, so I can gain it back easily. Similarly, I try to steal a character for a category I'm not so hot at. :) Teresa Winging its way from my iPod On Mar 12, 2015, at 9:30 AM, Zachary Kline zkl...@speedpost.net wrote: Dark, I don’t remember this tutorial from Trivia Crack, and it has been a long time. Re: [Audyssey] trivia crack trouble
Hi Teresa. As I said to zack, it seems to just be the tutorial which is a pest, but thanks for letting me know about how to get the correct answer, sinse it's always good to learn things while playing. I have no problem with testing games out (I do it enough myself), I was just a little narked to wind up in such a fix with a game most people were praising so highly, though in fairness some of the access issues referd to on applevis seem fine. The only thing I'm currently wondering is exactly what does the Spin option when you go for a crown does? All the best, Dark. There is always more to know, more to see, more to learn. [Audyssey] The Three Monkeys Kickstarter Campaign
Hi Folks, Into the Abyss - The Three Monkeys Kickstarter Campaign is almost over. I tried to find out the final total but it kept locking up my computer. The last time I was able to check, As of March 10, 2015: 227 backers £7,971 pledged of £28,000 goal 48 hours to go The last post: probably from JaminEatWorld March 12, 2015 13:07:56 As we approach the end of the Three Monkeys Kickstarter campaign, we wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your support over the past 30 days - it really does mean the world to the team - and let you know what's what going forward. Re: [Audyssey] xbox accessibility?
The dashboard can be memorised. If you get a Kinect with the xbox, then you can also use voice commands to navigate the interface and launch games, and the success and/or failure of what you asked is indicated with audio queues. The newer Kinect games like Kinect sports season 2 also let you use voice commands in the game's menus. Downloading digital games is accessible because you can do it from the xbox live website. The cconsole is smart enough to start downloading new purchases and when they're finished you get a sound. You can also use the smart glass app on iOS, android or Windows 8 to control the console and launch games. Now, for some speculation. The Xbox one is very likely to receive Windows 10, and it will support running new universal apps, so it's very likely it may receive a narrator feature, especially considering that because Microsoft is pushing it as a media consumption device it might fall under the FCC accessibility regulations.
