Heard of him from this list. What a shock at such a young age, 38? Sounds like
he will be deeply missed in the blind gaming community. Rest in peace.

[Audyssey] nvda not speaking in games

2016-03-03 Thread Carter Temm
Hi,
I don't exactly know if this is an NVDA issue, but some here may be
able to help.
so, when playing games, instead of using NVDA to read output, it uses
Sapi. I have checked to make sure the nvda controller client.dll is in
the folder, and even reinstalling NVDA doesn't do anything. I know it
works because my other computer loads the game using nvda just fine,
so it has to be something with this machine. If it helps any, windows
7 pro.
thanks in advance

environment variables or a direct shortcut to python. Or at least I
think it was available when I installed it which was a while ago.

 'python' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
 operable program or batch file.

 If you just type in path at command line, and hit enter, it should
 print
 out the whole value, with each piece separated by ; characters - maybe
 just double check that it's right..?

Re: [Audyssey] Help with using bgt

2016-03-03 Thread Carter Temm
Hi
Bgt isn't something I know as of now, but I may try it out. I haven't been able
to find the audio manual, so if anyone can give it to me, that would be great.
The main thing in all programing languages is memorization. Being a python and
php programer, I happen to know that just reading line after line and character
by character, it should eventually stick in your mind.
Thanks.

[Audyssey] strat-o-matic baseball Jaws field scripts

2016-03-03 Thread David Hoppman
I'm David Hoppman I'm 40 years old and blind since birth. I enjoy playing
all kinds of computer games for the blind. My question is concerning where
to get the Jaws field scripts for the Strat-o-matic baseball game. I had
been working with the developer of the scripts Gary Whittington and he
always made sure I had the latest scripts. When I got this computer, I lost
the older scripts and Jaws doesn't give me full access to the game without
them. If any of you know where I can get them, or even how to get a hold of
Gary to get the scripts since the e-mail addressI last had for him didn't
work. Any help would be much appreciated.

the intrigues of court. The fate of the kingdom of Daria is in your hands.

“The Lost Heir 2: Forging a Kingdom” is a

  Mike developed “The Lost Heir” series using
ChoiceScript, a simple programming language for writing multiple-choice
interactive novels like these. Writing games with ChoiceScript is easy and fun,
even for authors with no programming experience. Write your own game and we’ll
publish it for you, giving you a share of the revenue your game produces.

  To celebrate the launch of The Lost Heir 2:
Forging a Kingdom, we’re also announcing that Mike’s earlier game in our Hosted

Take back the throne that was rightfully yours!
When demon-summoning usurpers assassinate the king and queen, the right of
rulership falls to you, their only child. Develop your own unique prince or

Hi,
I don't really like to do code handouts. It isn't conducive to good
learning. Still, I'm vaguely interested in this since I myself have
not ever sorted strings alphabetically, so I will write something up
here.
This implementation may have errors. I tested it on six items with
various first letters and it worked great, but I may have not
accounted for some edge cases, who knows.
Here is the opCmp method you should use.
int opCmp(players_items@ other)
{
// Lowercase both strings so that uppercase lettered items do not
appear before lowercased ones.
string other_name=string_to_lower_case(other.name);
string original_name=string_to_lower_case(name);
// Now simply do comparisons as we would do on ints. Keep in mind this
deceptively simple action will take much longer than integer
comparison.
if(original_name>other_name)
return 1;

Hi to all.
I was given a copy of all of the programs from the tech support of blind

I’ve installed the games with no problems.
I can copy the code to the clipboard and go regerate a code with no problem.
But I still can no unlock the games from demos to full featured games.
If there is a successful person who is living here on the east coast, can we
please link up via jaws and or teave viewer and I can show you what I’m doing
and myabe we can see what I’m doing wrong to unlock the games.
I’ve tried several times to contact the tech support person who had shipped my
the programs and the regeration program both by e-mail and via phone with no
luck.
