Hi Michael, Sounds like a bad install to me. I downloaded and installed it on my old laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium, the 32-bit version, and the game ran fine. Hello, Thomas. I know that people get tire of me asking the same questions but if I don't keep asking then nobody will answer me. I do go to the different search engines but I don't seem to be able to find anything. By the way I am having trouble getting the SDL.net runtime to download, I did however downloaded SDL. 1.2 and move the files to the lib folder in the Descent directory. I got this message, ImportError: DLL load failed: The parameter is incorrect. So what do I need to do? Michael, Maybe what you need to do is re-load your Windows program, with the loading and unloading of a program that many times, it may be a possibility that you have inadverdently deleted a dll file which you need, so at the very least you might give some thought to doing a repair on your Windows program. Hi, Well, I'm not certain what is exactly causing the crash, and I'm pretty sure Descent comes with everything it needs. You definitely do not need SDL.NET as that is specifically for C#.NET and VB.NET and has nothing to do with Python. I merely suggested getting the standard SDL libraries and adding them to your system path, but that may not resolve the issue. Cheers!
