I’m not sure if my last message came through, but the abridged version is, how
does the pathing system work in Aetolia?

Re: [Audyssey] Iron realms munds

2014-08-12 Thread dark

Hi Shanon.

that does sound interesting, particularly the no pvp thing. the description
of imperion struck me as heavy on the pvp but I wasn't certain.

First, what are the major differences in gameplay between etolia and
lusternia? obviously one is set around sities of vampires and the other
looks some sort of majitech crossing of planes but I'm not sure. Also, if
your not interested in rp and are a solo exploring type, how is etolia?
Also, are there any low spam modes or direct screen reader fixes in the
game? I thought there were but I wasn't sure.

Beware the grue!

I'm a huge Aetolia fan. It's a fairly dark mud, very heavy into RP. PVP is
not allowed, except in certain, very specific situations. Aetolia has a
path system that makes navigating its huge world quite easy, especially if
you can't see the map.

I've looked some at Lusternia, but haven't done enough with it to comment
much. Aschia was really confusing for me, because it seemed to require map
usage, without the patching present in Aetolia.

Hopefully, this answers your question. Let me know if I can provide
further info.

similar elements, but place different emphasis on them. Achaea seems most

[Audyssey] Iron realms munds

2014-08-11 Thread dark
Hi.

A discussion on audiogames.net about muds generally lead to questions about the
iron realms games sinse one chap there had played Achaea. I have checked their
sites but have been slightly hesistant due to not hearing some good things
about them.and not being sure if they had any vi customizations for low spam
etc, though according to the user on audiogames.net they did which is why I'm
asking this question.

First, has anyone tried their games? what are they like?

Then, what is the difference between them? Their websites are a little hard to
fathom sinse it seems from the descriptions the games all involve similar
elements, but place different emphasis on them. Achaea seems most about
roleplay, Imperion seems heavy on pvp and politics, Lusternia from what I
gather is the game for puzzles and questing and etolia is exploration, though
also lists limitless advancement, so I'm not really sure how those two differ.

If anyone has played these I'd appreciate hearing opinions, especially from
anyone who has played multiple games.

all the best,

Dark.
